I passed through Montenegro reventlyand stopped to grab food on the road. ROAD! And what did I find? A sad excuse for a burger, meat like the sole of your shoe, slapped in a bun — 8,99€. That’s the going rate for garbage on the highway.

So let me be crystal clear: anyone whining about the price of a fresh, handmade Holy Burek burek filled with chopped REAL VEAL (not your usual Balkan minced parts) for 9€ needs to get their head checked. I’ve been coming every day for the last 3 days and the team here bust their asses every single day, rolling dough from scratch, layering it with fresh ingredients, and delivering something with actual craft and flavor.

You want cheap, soulless fast food? Go ahead and throw 9€ out the window at a roadside burger stand. You want quality, tradition, and value? Holy Burek has you covered — and they earn every cent they charge.

We tried the veal, cheese, and chicken burek, and all were phenomenal—truly the best we had during our stay. The flavors were rich and comforting, and honestly, my mouth is watering just writing this review. It’s very affordable for the quality you get, and watching the staff prepare the burek right behind the counter added to the experience. The place is very popular, but the line moves quickly, so don’t be discouraged.

If their prices reflect all that hard work and dedication, then more power to them! It’s honestly the best burek we’ve ever eaten.
