Outstanding early evening meal and service at Prota 🥰

We had booked and during peak season wise to do so.

Access is via Excelsior hotel. There may be families on the front and in the water before dark. All part of the atmosphere.

Tables right up to the waters edge. We went for a cooler table position inside the arches. Team were more than happy to accomdate this to move everything.

Bread and oils and small bite delivered as complimentary items.

Starters were excellent. Gratinated cooked oysters and an amazing fresh crab salad which was a work of art 🦀

Mains we ordered too much food! Lobster 🦞 was excellent and huge. Recommended as a linguine.

Whole sea bass was a whale of a fish! Filleted for me table side. Order a tomato salad for contrast and moisture. Delicious. Would feed 2 or 3 people

What a great place to spend your day! While the food was not the best I’ve had (would still highly recommend the fisherman’s platter), the service well and truly made up for anything else that may be lacking. Booked this restaurant at sunset to celebrate our first night in Croatia, and it couldn’t be more perfect.
