Plaža Danče / Danče Beach — Attraction in Dubrovnik

Beautiful beach area not far out of the city with many areas to sit and enjoy the sun and swim.

About a 15 minute walk from the Pile Gate, along the water to a fantastic swimming and sunning area. Many flat places to sit or lay on a towel along with rocky areas that provide places to sit or jump off the rocks into the water.

The views are amazing, quite a different area than the crowded downtown center.

I would agree that this isn’t a beach in a sense of being able to order an umbrella and chairs or having sand.

There’s no cover from the sun unless you bring your own. You can lay out on the towels you bring on the rocks.

There’s a small bar with drinks and chips that have an outside seating area with an overhead shade. You can bring your own food and drink as well.

Was looking through internet list “10 best beaches in Dubrovnik”, but nothing satisfied our criterias - not far from city, with possibility to jump from rocks (but not from 10m cliff). Accidentally found this beach at google maps and spent the best day ever! There’s toilet, little bar (beer 5, cider 6 euro), almost no people in the first half of day and more people in the second /afterwork. Met sunset there as well, great memories...
