If you’re not the ‘right kind’ of customer, you might not exist here.

As a service provider myself, I know what it means to stay calm under pressure, to serve all kinds of people, and to treat everyone with basic respect — especially when they’re standing right in front of you.

But at this café, my colleague and I were ignored for over 20 minutes. We had an eye contact with them. Staff looked past us. Never acknowledged us. Not a single word.

Other customers walked in after us, got served immediately. Every single one of them — different race than us.

We kept waiting, assuming maybe the staff were busy or missed us. But as time passed, it became clear: we weren’t being seen — or weren’t being chosen to be seen. We even documented the situation with a photo, because it honestly felt surreal.

This isn’t about slow service. It’s about who gets service at all.

If you’re okay with a cafĂ© that picks and chooses who deserves to be acknowledged, go ahead. If you believe in basic dignity and equal treatment,...

A Cozy Oasis in the Heat! 😎 ⛱

I recently visited this coffee shop and was genuinely impressed! Despite the summer heat, the atmosphere inside was cool, calm, and super inviting — a perfect escape from the weather outside in the summer. The vibe is cozy and relaxed, with a welcoming energy that makes you want to stay a while.

The staff were absolutely wonderful — friendly, helpful, and full of good vibes. Service was quick and smooth, definitely a solid 10/10.

I tried their hot chocolate (yes, even in summer!), and while it wasn’t mind-blowing, it was still enjoyable — I’d give it a 7/10. But the overall experience more than made up for it.

Atmosphere gets a strong 9/10 from me, and with how great the people and service were, I’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend checking this place out if you're in the...

Coffee Break was a delightful retreat from the hectic atmosphere of Old Town. We visited for a quick bite and coffee, and it turned out to be a fantastic choice. The ambiance was welcoming and relaxing, providing the perfect backdrop for a leisurely pause. From the moment we walked in, the staff exuded warmth and friendliness. They greeted us with smiles and offered prompt service, making us feel right at home. The menu had a great variety of options, and our selections were delicious and well-prepared. Overall, Coffee Break is a gem that offers a refreshing break from the busy surroundings. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for quality coffee and a friendly atmosphere. We’ll definitely...

We visited a few times. Enjoyed the mushroom coffee (tastes of strong coffee), coffee smoothie and tiramisu overnight oats (portion on the smaller side). Prices are reasonable for the area. Staff are friendly and attentive*, always with a smile. The café itself is light and airy, and in a good location not too far from Pile gate. *Edit just removed a star for service, as when we approached the desk to pay the girl immediately told us what we owed, before giving us a chance to hand over the 10% discount card they gave us. She refused to include the discount, claiming she couldn't reprint the receipt, blaming us, but there was no issue using it the day before.

An enchanting litte cafe inside the university run by a young, beautiful and very friendly girl from Montenegro. Well worth the walk up the hill from the city. Excellent toasted sandwiches, freshly pressed orange juice, and coffee the way it's meant to be, not the instant stuff the bakeries inside the city walls sell for twice the price. Ambience is modern, clean, hip and informal, the way you'd expect a place like that in a university. Very cheap especially considering all the other prices in Dubrovnik. They don't accept any cards. Cash in local currency Kuna only!
