eVala Rústica turned out to be a wonderful surprise in Split last week. We were drawn in by the well-kept and welcoming terrace, browsed the menu, and decided to take a chance on a reservation. We couldn’t have made a better choice.
The service was exemplary: the staff were attentive and helpful, always present without being intrusive, and never rushed us, even as several table requests came in during our dinner.
As for the food, everything was impeccable. The tuna tartare was fresh and perfectly balanced, elevated by the contrast of blackberries. The frigadura and buzara were divine, as was the pasta, full of flavor. To pair, the house white wine proved to be an excellent choice, complementing the meal beautifully.
An experience that combines a pleasant atmosphere, attentive service, and cuisine rooted in traditional flavors and quality ingredients — a place we will certainly return to on our next visit to...
Read moreThe service was poor, we were ready to have our order taken but we're told by the hostess we'd have to wait for the waiter to return as she didn't know where he went. We waited about 15 minutes before out order was taken.
Food was very mediocre, definitely not worth what we paid . My wife had rubbery calamari and I had chewy pasta with no taste from the sauce . The cocktails were OK, overpriced for what we received.
When wanting to pay we asked the hostess and again we were told the waiter had gone missing and had to wait to pay another few minutes .
The one saving grace was the hostess ,she was very nice and welcoming . Unfortunately everything else wasn't up to par.
The night before we went to Konoba Kod Joze and it was cheaper and much better quality in service and in food ,clean plates from us both . Highly recommend instead if you...
Read moreWith its simplistic ‘Bistro table cloths’ look and its simplistic looking menu, you could be forgiven for maybe walking past in search of Splits fancier eateries. When we first arrived with our cases, looking for a drink, my partner looked at the menu as we strolled by and something caught her eye/tastebuds and I’m so glad it did. On our last night before Korcula, we ate our best, most tastiest meal of the trip. Shared the ‘Sea board’. It was lovely. We both had the ravioli filled with cheese, figs, and walnuts. AMAZING!! I didn’t even want to drink anything afterwards so as to savour the taste!! Shout out to the waiters in there too. Two great lads, very polite and professional. At the time of typing, we are still in Korcula, with one night back in Split coming up before our return home. I suspect that we’ll be...
