I accidentally ended up visiting Picasso Pizza&Bar because I felt like having something sweet late in the evening after dinner at another place. So while strolling through old Split I walked by it and my eye caught the “Fig cheesecake” on their menu and as I always like to try something new I went for it. The cheesecake itself was I think a no-bake cheesecake. Very creamy and mild with an accentuated lemon taste, which blended very well with the house made Fig syrup and made it an enjoyable experience. I savoured every bite if it and decided to come the day after for breakfast (and to have another slice of the cheesecake 🤤). For breakfast I went with the eggs Benedict with salmon, which was what I would have expected, quite tasty and satisfying as a first meal for the day, followed by the cheesecake, which also didn’t disappoint on the second time. I’m pretty sure that the pizza they serve is also worth a try, unfortunately this time I didn’t have the chance due to time restraint, but will keep it in mind for my second visit to Split. The Picasso Pizza&Bar certainly doesn’t only impress with the food they serve, but also with the friendly staff, which is also very pleasant to chat with. The atmosphere itself is also very nice settled in the heart of old Split, but through the decorations and the ambience it creates it feels like being somewhere entirely different, very colourful and artistic.

Read moreHidden within the picturesque, narrow archaic cobbled streets of Split old town is the lively Picasso pizzeria. The atmosphere is electric in Picasso, with a live DJ playing music and it usually being busy, with conversation filling the restaurant. The service is amazing, being really quick to take my order and get my drinks, and the staff are really nice. The pizza came really quickly, and it was massive, definitely worth the price paid. I had the Nduja pizza, the nduja was really nice, and so was the pizza sauce and cheese, with the crust being airy with a thin base. Unfortunately I felt the base was too thin and was a stuggle to eat the centre of the pizza, it wasn't undercooked, just a bit thin, which I think a bit less pizza sauce could've solved the problem. The drinks here are expensive, but nothing out of line from anywhere else in Split, but you're paying for the great service and atmosphere. An amazing pizzeria to visit on your stay along the...
Read moreAs a local I would recommend only a few places in Split and Picasso is definitely one of them. If you’re in Split and want a spot with awesome vibes, tasty food, and even better cocktails – Picasso is the place.
Honestly, the highlight for me was the service – the waiters were super friendly, funny, and just made the whole experience feel easy and fun (the best recommendations). You can tell they actually enjoy working there, and that energy spreads to everyone around.
The atmosphere is chill but lively – great music, cozy setup, and just an all-around good mood. Cocktails are dangerously good (you’ve been warned 😄), and the pizza hit the spot.
Perfect place to hang out with friends, grab a bite, or start the night with some drinks. Big thumbs up to the Picasso...
