Art Kavana — Restaurant in Grad Zadar

We recently visited this charming café and pastry shop in Zadar, and I had a delightful experience. The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the Twist Cake, a heavenly creation that combined the flavors of strawberry cream cheesecake with an irresistible Oreo cookie base. It was absolutely delicious and left me craving for more!

In addition to the mouthwatering pastry, I was pleased to find that the coffee served here was of excellent quality. It complemented the cake perfectly, making my overall experience even more enjoyable.

One of the aspects I particularly appreciated about the café was its comfortable seating area. However, I did notice that they also had a small seating area outside on the street next to the road. While the option to sit outside was available, it didn't offer the same level of comfort and tranquility as the indoor seating area.

The environment is clean and comfortable, with both indoor and outdoor seating available.

However, the service from the young lady was quite blunt, which was disappointing.

We tried four types of cakes: Tiramisu, Pear Crostata, Apple Crostata, and a strawberry cake (see photo).

To be honest, none of them met my standard of tastiness, likely because I’ve had amazing cakes while living in Japan. This place reminds me of the famous Japanese cake shop HARBS, as the concept is very similar. If you ever visit Japan, definitely check out HARBS.
