La Baia Street Food — Restaurant in Grad Zadar

I struggled with the stars on this one. Our first wish was a view of the water so it gets a plus for atmosphere. It is also on a busy street but not too noisy considering. A lawn mower came by for about 15 minutes but this isn’t the locations fault. The service was fine except that the waiter was listing to something loud on his phone and never came back to check on the food.

Oh, and the food. The burgers look nice but the meat seemed like it was cooked from a hard frozen patty that needed more time to cook. We didn’t eat more than a bite before giving up. The mixed salad was large but the lettuce was mostly the hard yellow part and it really only had a spritze of dressing. Other items on the menu might be better.

At least we had a comfortable place to watch the world go by and...

What a wonderful experience! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and genuine hospitality. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, the staff attentive and kind, and the food… absolutely delicious! Every dish tasted homemade, fresh, and full of flavor — you can really tell that a lot of heart goes into everything here.

It's rare to find a place where you feel both relaxed and taken care of, like you're visiting an old friend who just happens to be an amazing chef. A true hidden gem that deserves all the praise!

We were not treated fair! We kindly asked to use the restroom and buy one coffee and the waitress agreed, then the old lady came out and started shouting at us that it is a restaurant and if more than one need to use the restroom we need to pay 2 euros extra! I would not mind if I was told from the beginning but the agressive way of shouting even though we were not told to pay extra was so disturbing! Don't go there if you like to be around chill...
