The restaurant has recently been opened. Decor is rather pleasant and it is in a nice location with a great terrace. It was two of us and being locals we were quite looking forward to trying something new on Zadar gastro scene.
First of all we were given food menus without being even asked if we wanted an aperitif. We ended up ordering aperitif together with our food.
My wife ordered pork loin stuffed with goat's cheese and walnuts and I ordered braised ox cheeks with truffle potato mash. Her dish was not seasoned and you could not taste the cheese. My dish lacked any sort of real flavour, braised ox cheeks ought to have real deep red wine taste, this came with a diluted instant gravy like flavour.
With our meal we ordered a nice bottle of Croatian white wine. Bottle came warm and even after asking for it to be placed in to iced bucket we ended up finishing out meal before wine was even drinkable.
In all honesty as much as I was hoping that we might get another option of a good quality restaurant in Zadar, there are far better options not only in Zadar but within 20 meter radius.
Prices are higher than with the local competition yet the quality is nowhere close. All in all I would avoid it as there are far better restaurants in Zadar which far better represent Croatian and Dalmatian cousine as well as give a far more charming service.
Sorry but as much as I hate being this brutally honest I think it is only fair and these guys have to try a lot harder.

Read moreWhen I asked whether "Burger a' la chef" was available in a gluten-free version, I received the answer "from chef" that it could be served without a bun... Frankly speaking, I expected more engagement from the restaurant where burger COSTS DOUBLE in comparison to other places in the city center. It would be great to be offered an alternative or get a suggestion on other gluten-free options on the menu. Of course, like usual, I had to take one of the main dishes. But I didn't regret it, because my pork with goat cheese and walnuts was tasty and burger a la' chef, ordered by my companion, seemed to be prepared by a chef-to-be. It contained a poor combination of rucola, chedar cheese and a beef patty. What's more, instead of a bun, which we saw on other tables, it was served in a piece of a baguette(?). It would have been enough to inform us that there were no buns left...It was unprofessional to change the key ingredient without letting us know about it. Complements for the place, nice approach of waiters, but for the rest...
Read moreExcellent restaurant near the pretty, Five Wells Square. Friendly staff with an attention to detail, to include your comfort level while dining. Menu with choices a bit different from the rest of the restaurants, a really pleasant surprise. Excellent wine list! We dined twice in the day before flying out in the evening! Our carry-on bags were carried up & tucked away for us as we dined. The upper terrace view is fantastic! Relaxed atmosphere. We enjoyed all of our dishes: Black ravioli- shrimp stuffed in a mussel sauce. Ravioli- filled with spinach & ricotta in a shrimp truffle sauce, my favorite was the linguine with clams in squid ragu, perfect consistency & flavor. A side order of bread to mop up the sauce arrived as fresh, wood-fired pizza crust, so flavorful on it’s own! The Orange Wine is Incredible along with the fine Croatian wines on- list. Highly recommend & book in advance. All tables on the upper terrace were Reserved for...
