A Culinary Experience to Remember – Outstanding in Every Way
Dining at Sale e Pepe in Ayia Napa was not just a meal—it was an unforgettable experience that delighted all the senses. From the moment we arrived, the warmth, charm, and professionalism of the team made us feel like honored guests.
A very special thank you to Chef Maria, whose culinary artistry is nothing short of extraordinary. Every dish was a masterpiece—crafted with incredible attention to detail, rich in flavor, and beautifully presented. Her passion shines through in every bite, and her ability to transport diners through flavor is truly something remarkable.
The service was just as outstanding as the food. We were warmly welcomed by the maître d’, Gianni, whose elegance, charisma, and impeccable manner set the perfect tone for the evening. His presence gave the entire experience a sense of occasion, and his genuine care did not go unnoticed.
A heartfelt thank you also goes to Ntino, our wonderful waiter. His attentiveness, warmth, and deep understanding of hospitality made us feel truly looked after. He anticipated every need, responded with grace and good humor, and ensured our evening flowed seamlessly. It’s rare to see such dedication and attention to detail.
And then there’s the lovely Daniela, whose radiant smile and kind spirit left a lasting impression on us. Her joyful presence added a personal touch that made us feel more like friends than patrons.
The team at Sale e Pepe work in perfect harmony to deliver not just a meal, but an experience you’ll cherish. It’s a place where the food is divine, the atmosphere is elegant yet welcoming, and the people make all the difference.

Read moreIf I could give more than five stars, Sale e Pepe would certainly deserve them. From the moment we stepped inside, it was clear we had found a rare gem — not just a restaurant, but an experience woven with care, charm, and genuine warmth. Ntino, with his attentive spirit and unwavering kindness, anticipated our every need, making us feel not just welcomed, but cared for — as if we were dining among old friends. Yiannis, who greeted and seated us, did so with such effortless professionalism and an undeniable charm that instantly set the tone for the evening. And Daniela — her radiant smile alone could brighten the dullest day. Together, these three were more than just staff; they were the heart and soul of the evening, transforming service into an art form and hospitality into a feeling of home. And then, there was Chef Maria. What a revelation. Her cooking transported us straight to Italy with every bite — an orchestra of flavours that sang on the plate. The Risotto de Fungi was beyond morish; rich, creamy, and cooked with an attention to craft that is so rare to find. The Gamberetti pasta was equally divine, with prawns so fresh and pasta so perfectly balanced it was simply unforgettable. Chef Maria herself even graced our table, her presence as warm as her dishes, to ensure everything was to our liking — a gesture that spoke volumes about the pride and love she pours into her kitchen. Sale e Pepe is not simply a place to eat. It is a place to savour. To be seen. To be celebrated. A sanctuary where food and heart meet — and where extraordinary people like Ntino, Yiannis, Daniela, and Chef Maria make you feel like you belong. Do yourself a favour: book a table, surrender to the experience, and prepare to...
Read moreCame 14 people to dine, ordered one drink for everyone from what seem to be the main waiter. Soon after a waitress came to deliver the drinks to all of us - but there was one missing for my daughter, I kindly told her that they forgot one drink and she smiled and said she would bring it. After everyone was finished enjoying our nice meals we asked for the bill. Here we noticed that we were billed for 15 drinks. So I guess the waitress thought, that it was us which had forgotten to order it from the beginning and so she added it to the bill after bringing it to us. Honest mistake and I’m not blaming her in any way. But thing is - it was already added by the main waiter from the start when we ordered. We told him that we only had 14 drinks but where billed for 15. He didn’t agree and said we had 15 if it’s on the bill. So hereafter we tried to explain him how this thing must have ended like it did, but he wouldn’t listen. For us it was never about the money - but it was the principle of just plain out paying for something we didn’t receive.
As a person whom myself used to be working in the service sector. I will never understand why a waiter, could be the owner, would stand and argue about one freaking soda, even from a tap, that would maximum cost him less than one euro, with a large group of people who just paid a lot of money, enjoying the food, whom will now never come back to this place, probably and most likely will tell others about this experience - and well, receiving this negative review for others to see.
Was this one soda, seriously...
