Honestly, not entirely sure what to make of this venue but the glowing reviews of other diners seemed far from my experience. I was certainly delighted to find out they serve Tsingtao at 4.20 euro a pop. (I consumed one Tsingtao.) However, the food somehow did not delight (although I couldn't say it was bad). Just not especially to my liking or perhaps I ordered the wrong items? Ordered steamed dumplings only to get fried dumplings; the waiter offered to exchange them but I felt too hungry to wait further. Ordered hot egglant; it turned out not very hot -- added the leftover hot sauce from the dumplings into the dish. It also turned out that there was not to much eggplant having a surfeit (an overample quantity) of gravy and onion. It was okay but I have had much better. Not sated, I decided to go for the crispy duck; duck was indeed crisply but it was not cooked right as it, for the most part, was dry on the inside rather than moist. I ordered a full portion but looked more like a half-portion. Some ideosyncracies: No chopsticks are put on the table alongside the plate. The customer has to ask for them. At least this venue offers the disposable chopsticks to use on the asking. Each plate gets one thick white napkin. That served me fine as a bib to prevent accidentally staining my shirt but no other napkins were brought until I ordered the duck. Then I received one napkin under the duck gravy and one napkin on the side; not sure why these red napkins cannot be availed of from the get-go by the customer. I had to use a crumpled napkin from my jean's pocket to suffice till the duck came. Seems like an economy measure that is quite inapt. Nice seaside view of Finikoudes beach. All for euro 30. Not outrageous but, on the other hand, hardly a bargain especially considering adverse...

All seems nice and somewhat authentic from the outside, however...it is quite clear that very little that is served has anything to do with chinese food.
We had a bunch of appetizers just to snack but it became clear that:
The mise en place was of that afternoon (or possibly another day) since the garnishes (chives, carrots etc.) were completely dried out. Thus, dry vegetables/old vegetables with the dishes;
Most of the food seemed pre-made (bao buns frozen from the supermarket etc.);
Steamed shrimp dumplings... My favourite normally but i just didn't want to finish it. They contained +- 1 mini shrimp and the rest was egg(?) or something alike??
Furthermore, sauces were bland, no chopsticks, nice and friendly staff although they kept on pouring our drinks empty which was a bit too much and just very expensive for the poor quality you get.
Atmosphere was ok, nice views, but far from worth it...
Advice: don't do it, spend your...
Read moreOne of the best places to eat Chinese food in Cyprus! I only managed to take a photo of the dessert we had (amazing panna cotta with strawberry sauce) because of how quickly we consumed the rest of the dishes! Their bao bun with pork is a must try if you’re after a mouthwatering appetiser! For mains, we tried their chicken chow mein, beef and broccoli in black bean sauce as well as kung pao chicken. Extra points for the fact that you can choose between getting a half portion or full portion. We went for half portions on all the mains because we wanted to try a variety of dishes. We also got the chance to speak with the owner, who’s very pleasant and kind. He treated us to a pot of Chinese jasmine tea and a couple of fortune cookies and he also made suggestions of what we could order at our next visit! Also have to mention that the prices are very reasonable, so it’s worth your time and money! 100%...
