Chef's Garden — Restaurant in Paphos Municipality

I feel Very disappointed to feel I have to write this review, especially after all the good reviews that made us go here… unfortunately, upon sitting down, I think we should have left as the table mat had 5 white hairs on my cloth mat, and the gutter pipe right next to my arm was full of thick dust and the salt and pepper pots and glasses all needed a good clean. Maybe we are extra fussy but I’m sorry this is the least we expect. The family were so lovely and working hard to make a living, therefore, I feel bad to write this review, however, I also feel when people like us come to Cyprus and plan there Sunday lunch they are, like us looking for something nice. The food, where do I start, meat was probably fair, not the best. But there was plenty of it. Roast potatoes were lovely, however, every vegetable was so hard and obviously very rushed in cooking. Gravy was so watery, mash I couldn’t get of the spoon. Very sad as I think it was probably started out as a beautiful place that has dropped down standards through trying to please to many people. Please owners, you are lovely people, especially your boys. I wish there were more stars to award this diamond of a local run restaurant.

Set in a lovely little garden surrounded by plants and flowers, are around 15 or so tables. This is a family run business with wife cooking and husband serving.

The food is outstanding and cooked fresh. The whole place has an authentic and genuine feel to it and you are allowed to take your time. You actually have to ask for more service rather than being mithered.

The husband (sorry I don't know their names) makes recommendations from the menu and they have been delicious in the 2 occasions we have been. We are trying the meze next time.

Undoubtedly the best place to eat in Paphos and in the whole Cyprus too I guess (we’ve tried a few other places and Chef’s Garden is outstanding). Starting with service full of warm, family atmosphere ❤️, through great music and lovely interior, finishing with magical skills of the chef himself. Delicate, perfectly flavored meat and cheese, astonishing sides (veggies, chips, homemade sauces).
