Tramps Bar — Restaurant in Paphos Municipality

We walked in at exactly 8pm and ordered right away as we knew what we wanted. We just wanted 2 x gyros. Nothing complicated. The place wasn't mega busy. Half the tables were empty. Gyros should be done in 10 mins max. At exactly 9pm, one hour later we walked out as the food still hadn't arrived. 35 minutes into our wait we asked the waitress why it was taking so long and she said a bunch of people had just come in and ordered. From where we sat we could see every other table so we waited and watched. During that hour wait the waitress came out to give food to tables TWICE. Imagine if they were 100% full?! Gyros is simple food and quick to cook. It should take no more than 10 mins or less. Clearly they have ONE person working in the kitchen who is cooking one table at a time. Looking at the other reviews we are not the only people complaining about the wait times. Employ more staff!!! Do NOT recommend. Gyros place over the road serves your food in 5 mins even when every table is booked. We walked up the road to the Irish Pub and asked for a combo meat platter. "Don't judge a book by its cover" perfectly sums up our experience here. During our first few days in Paphos, we walked past this restaurant and ignored it, assuming from its name and appearance that it would attract a rowdy crowd. But one evening, we decided to give it a try — and boy, were we wrong.

The owner greeted us warmly, and the food was absolutely phenomenal. The seating is thoughtfully arranged, so you don’t feel too close to other tables, which makes for a comfortable dining experience. We loved it so much that we ended up visiting twice during our stay. For me, the highlight was the lamb shank — I've never had meat so tender and flavorful. Even now, back home, I can’t stop thinking about it!

The only downside (or upside for some) is the speed of service, it's quite slow so expect to take a few hours to have dinner,...

Disgraceful customer service. We arrived and sat on a table with no one bothering to give us a menu for 20mins. So I went to the bar to ask for a menu and a glass of water to be approached with a rude obnoxious English waiter. He wouldn’t give us a menu or a drink and told us to sit down and wait our turn. I was happy to wait but it with 33 degrees heat I was struggling and just wanted water whilst waiting. He was also dismissive to my mother and hostile so I can only put his behaviour down to racism. Everyone else was being dealt with (all white) but he just didn’t care, spoke to me like garbage and looked at me as if I was beneath him. I felt so upset and hurt by his behaviour.
