The restaurant is very unique and from the entrance you can feel amazing hospitality and kindness. It's a little bit hidden, but that's definitely an advantage - you can hide from noise and crowded streets there and yet be in a central part of Paphos. We were greeted by the restaurant's owner who showed us the table and explained the menu. We ordered our meals - vegetarian Mousaka with side salad and speciality of the day which on that day was chicken legs and pork with potatos and side salad. On every day, there is a special meal of the day. While we were waiting, we got delicious homemade bread with garlic butter. The food was really good, good size portions, but most importantly it was a really great Greek cuisine. The food was really tasty and fresh. The owner was a really kind and funny person, checking with us if everything is fine, joking around, asking about our holiday. At the end, the second owner (based on previous reviews, two men are brothers who run this restaurant) offerd us a drink on the house which was a very kind gesture. The restaurant probably needs some upgrades and refreshments - we were sitting outside, but inside of the restaurant definitely needs more work to do regarding cleanliness and decor. For sure it's not a fancy, new restaurant but a small family business which gives such a vibe. Our experience in this restaurant was very good and if you're in Paphos, you should definitely visit...
Read moreIt's sad that I had to change my review on this restaurant. First time we went there, the owner was very friendly and the food was good. So we decided to come back a week later. The problem occured when we tried to order drinks. We asked him to bring some kind of lemonade and he said that he could only bring pre-made lemonade. So we tried to ask him to bring a bottle of mineral water + a piece of lemon or lime. He said that he had no such things. It was strange because he served food with pieces of lemon. He also said that lemon is no juicy at that period of time (that was also strange, because I bought a lot in the supermarket). So I asked him to bring some of those pieces. Then suddenly he became very angry and started to shout at us, ran to a tree and ripped a lime and put it on my plate. We were shocked with our daughter and decided not to order food and leave. I payed for the drinks and left. I think this is a very bad attitude to shout at the guests, even if we had some 'special requests' (that was not that special, I believe..). The food was very good at the first time, that's why I gave 2*, but the bathroom was also in a...
Read moreDuring our 6-days stay in Paphos it was very first restaurant that we visited and and came back like 4 or 5 times, which means it was love from first sight. Typically in terms of food we love to explore, but not this time, it was a nobrainer where to go to eat - to Mother's of course!). As far as I understood its a family run restaurant that is located a bit outside of tourist routes so its not overcrowded and very comfortable place to eat. Good tasty traditional local food with very reasonable prices(typical bill for 1 kid, 2 adaults was around 60 eur and consider that we do love white wine:) ). I think we tried all available local food there and everything was perfect. But best of all was cincere attitude of guys who work there, making us feel always welcome. I have not ever had such experience before to be honest... and thats why I do my very first review here. After coming back home I have no idea how I would go to our local restaurants with tipically gloomy faces of waiters)) Best of luck to guys in their business. If coming back to Paphos I know where to come...
