This place has good food BUT it's tricky. First might get unlucky and the restaurant looks empty but you will wait after dozens of Wolt orders. Last time we waited over 40 minutes. It's crazy that they seem to prioritize Wolt orders over in person customers. Then you need to know what to choose. Some of their plates as main course are so wierdly put together. Like you literally get fries + three pieces of meat + plain salad - and thats the most expensive thing on menu (280Kč). Yet different options on menu have hummus + same meat + beans + fries + pita and it costs less. Or the pitas/wraps have more variety of stuff than the plates. I think everyone ordering kebab plate for 280Kč will expect meal based around kebab not a bit of kebab + fries + some underdressed salad. I wouldn't expect to get less than what you get in much cheaper wrap. Plates don't even include any sauces. Just by rearranging things around a bit would make it much better. It makes sense once you realize this is actually higher quality fast food kebab shop more than a restaurant and the plate options are afterthought.
But if you choose order well you can get probably best hummus, falafel, shawarma in Brno. Their shakshuka is mediocre. And yes it's expensive. I have been here like 5 times and i will keep coming because Brno lacks good hummus place but it's shame they fail on some of...
Read moreWow wow wow! What an amazing new place!
The grilled shipudim (in pita) dish is out of this world! It's exactly as I remember from Jerusalem, good quality, fresh ingredients, all the right spices! Finally we have a shawarma/"kebab" in Brno that we can enjoy! Next time I plan to try the chicken liver one, it's a really popular one in Jerusalem, too. My husband also had the falafel plate, with some extra salads and amba (basically salty & sour mango sauce). We both can't believe how authentic it all tasted, we were really transported back for a while. Don't miss out on the extra salads and sauces! They're a must to complete the experience! The only thing I'm missing on the menu is grape juice, please owners try to bring it here! You can't have falafel without mitz anavim! :(
The interior is alright (with extra points for that famous picture of Ze'ev Revach eating, that you can find at almost every falafel or shawarma place in Israel :D), although I was a bit bothered by the vacuum in my ears that appeared every time someone opened the entrance door (but maybe it's just me).
In any case, I'm very excited for this new restaurant in Brno, I definitely want to come here again asap and try their...
Read morePaprika is a very good idea performed poorly, with an explosive price tag.
In the last month 4 bad experiences, 2 at the restaurant, 2 upon delivery.
Portions are remarkably small, the menu is always lacking stuff and even the pitas are falling apart.
Yesterday I order the Pita Shipudim - sandwich with turkey skewers. It arrived without two items in it, yet the worst part was the chicken which was totally burned to charcoal texture.
Upon the complaint they said it just looks a bit burnt as it should be from the grill. Adding a sin to the crime😓 they didn’t even agreed to fully compensate for this.
A restaurant that suppose to bring new wind to Brno, seems to lack spirit and proper management.
Personally, I am not happy to write this review, but other ways dosent seem to receive their attention.
I hope that someone will read and do smth before the place will fail. I write it from a Point of constructive...
