Potrefená Husa — Restaurant in okres Brno-město

I have to share my feedback here as I used to know and like this restaurant for long time, and visited it many times in Brno and Prague. Hope my review will be noticed and service will be better. I ordered meal for a lunch which consist of garlic soup, home lemonade and main course, which was a flank steak with vegetables. It was not specified which kind of meat it was and I asked waitress if this is aged meat or just a raw meat. She was nice and told that she does not know, so she kindly agreed to ask (manager or chef, no idea). Then she went back and confirmed that it was aged and asked to cook it as "rare". Then meat was ready and delivered, I noticed the 1. it was medium. It was not a big problem for me. 2. It was not aged meat, it was a raw meat, since it was very tender, I was able to barely cut it and chew it. The taste was a regular raw beef, not aged one for sure as it is different and aged meat is very soft. People who loves steaks understand what I mean. I mentioned that to a waitress, she called a manager, I mentioned to him that it was not the steak I was asking for, but he assured me that the meat comes directly from a butcher and it is aged one.. I told him that I know what I am talking about, however he was smiling and saying same again. I saw no point of arguing as I did not want to go into a conflict because of piece of meat, however overall impression was negative. Service itself was OK, polite waitress and manager as well, however I was expecting for an excuse a proposal of an replacement of the dish. Moreover, I asked to specify and confirm what I really wanted before ordering, otherwise I would order something else. Giving 2 stars here, as I believe manager did not behave correctly in...

We know many great places to eat in Brno but it was the first time we came here to, what is not easily translated as, "The Crazy Goose" - with its meaning similar to how a person acting a little 'shot in the head' might be described. The food was amazing, out of this world actually. You absolute must try the garlic soup starter - it's a taste explosion...!! But what really stood out for me in this very classy and atmospheric restaurant was the exceptional attitude of the staff here. They took a lot of pride in ensuring that all of our needs were met. They did this with a genuine desire to be of the best service, with amazing communication skills, both Czech and English, and were obviously very happy about the fact we had such a good experience with them. Pavlína who served us is was very attentive, polite, warm, professional, ensuring we had everything we could possibly want whilst at the same time giving us the space to have a most intimate meal out celebrating Lenka's...

I always visit this bar/restaurant when I am in Brno. Staff are great, good choice of beer and good menu. I was there on Sunday evening and sadly we were served with the rudest waiter we have ever come across. If you want to damage your reputation people like him are the type you want to employ. My wife eventually threw the menu at him and asked for the manager. His immediate response was the usual "the manager is not here". I had seen the manager earlier and he quickly appeared when he knew there was an issue. The manager is a credit to this business. Genuine and concerned for his customers. He apologised and said he would deal with the situation appropriately, and I am sure he will. He offered us our evening on the house which I would never take. But--he made the gesture and that is important. This is a man who knows what "looking after customers"...
