Bistro Bastardo — Restaurant in okres Brno-město

In my opinion, best tacos in town and great burritos. Quesadillas are somewhat stronger in flavor, which may be a + or a -, depends on preferences. They also use artisan buns for their tortas, but the whole assembly is slightly more dry that a typical burger, so, again, your decision.

What is fairly new, they often have one or two weekly specials, and may also have a daily special.

I really appreciate the wide selection of Mexican lemonade. They also have their own beer (made in a local brewery).

As for the business itself, it's small and rarely has free seats for more than 2 people, but they also have several extra tables outside for standing and in the warmer half of the year, outdoor seating at the square outside (self service).

Don't expect fancy interior design, the place has industrial or even back alley vibes, intentionally. If you like quirky furniture, you'll probably find it cozy enough.

They've never disappointed me, one of my colleagues is a regular.

I ate only twice, things which were not traditional Czech food in 5 days in Brno.

I've got to say this was really very good Mexican food!!

I ate a pork burrito. Then felt the need to follow with a beef taco. Not because the burrito was not enough, but because it was so tasty!! And I've been to Mexico!

Top stuff. Kind of wish I had only had tacos, not sure if they offer a mix or different tacos, but I don't see why not.

Both items were superb, but that taco, wish I had had space for more. Great food on offer here. Highly recommended, espeshally if you want somthing slightly different.

All the usual options you would expect; heat levels, sauces etc.

It's a pleasant and small place with possibilities of outside seating, but don't let that discourage you, the service os great and you won't wait for long until a spot will be free.

The staff is communicative and English friendly. You can grab a drink while waiting for the food to be prepared right in front of you. They do the best burritos in the city, their quesadillas are great and the tacos addictive.

After you finish your meal, please respect the restaurant policy and dispose of your plates, baskets and bottles in the designated area (it's literally a 2 second thing). Keeps the flow of things smooth...
