I used to come to this pub once in a while before, and really liked it. Recently decided to visit again - what the happened to it?
First red flag - completely empty on a Sunday evening (around 18:00). Nobody inside or outside. This place has 2 floors and one of them was blocked by chair because of low attendance. In middle of Brno main square. Restaurant next to it was absolutely packed with people (in photos).
You cannot pay by card, only cash, in middle of the city center, in 2025! There is a tiny white paper sign on upper corner of the door that you can't even see because they're wide open, you can also see it in the photos. It says something about paying only by cash after 15:00. Is that even legal or is this some tax fraud?
Waitress was OK but didn't give much attention to anything. She was coming out only once in a while, mostly for some smoke break with someone. A couple with a child sit next to us, waited about 15-20 min and left after nobody came to serve them.
Food was miserable. We just ordered a smažák. It came tasting gooey, breading falling apart and even missing. Fries were insanely salty, could not finish it. Either someone drunk was making everything or they also did not care whatsoever, how can you mess up a fried cheese?
All in all, it is sad to see downfall of this establishment, but I guess whoever is running it deserves it. Radegast name should disassociate from this place as it is bringing an otherwise great beer a terrible...
Read moreI very rarely write reviews, but sometimes i just must, like in this case. So our first group of friends (5-6) came to the place and were seated at a table, which was reserved for 2 hours from now by other customers (at 21:00). They informed the staff that the second group of friends (6-7) will be arriving in 1 hour, to which the staff agreed and said that they will manage other tables so all are seated. When the second group arrived, we combined tables and they ordered food, which arrived 20 minutes before the scheduled reservation time. At this time the manager came, clearly dissatisfied and with an unpleasant tone, and started arguing with us that we need to leave the table. but there wasnt another table to move to. Most of our group left without even eating, but those who found a small table and chose to finish their meal, were surprised that they add french fries to your meal, without you asking for it, or being informed that it is at an additional cost. And the best part is, the payment is in cash only, in the center of brno, with a very little sign on the entrance door that informs you about it, you can barely see it, and its in czech only.
What an...

This place is a scam. They told us that what We ordered was 1kg of meat for 300 Czech crowns. What actually happened was that 1kg was included in the 300 crowns but an extra fee for the extra meat (this was only written in czech and they didn’t tell us about it when introduced the prices). So instead of 1kg per order we got 1.7kg.
One of the orders hadn’t been prepared correctly and the meat was still frozen and red in the middle. Something that the owner strongly declined. (The meat was still cold when we asked him to touch it, but he refused)
Other than that the tap water costs 100 crowns per litre.
When the bill arrived they also tried to charge us for more drinks. When we confronted him about it he tried to brush it off.
And lastly, when we tried to pay he claimed that they only took cash. He told us to take out money at the ATM. THE RESTAURANT OWNED THE ATM and took a hefty fee of 150 crowns.
When we complained about all this he got really angry, told us he didn’t have time for this and threatened us with calling the police.
To summarise, I think that everyone should stay away from this place, especially if you don’t...
