Food is outstanding. It's one of the nuggets of Brno and for sure the place to go to have a close to fine dining experience. The atmosphere is not living up to the kitchen and service, as quite often you'll be the only guest. But that also because of the generous opening hours, that is offering culinary delight almost alway during the day. The chefs know their business and are definitely delivering on par (if not sometimes better) with internationally renown kitchen brigades. The Tartar was a artistic, yet well tasting appearance, the beef broth of another dimension and the pasta a with octopus a rare delight and proper take on the south-Italian kitchen. It is a place you go to taste how Czechia is not tasting. It's a door to the international stage and the materialisation of a dream every foodster dreams of - the half casual take on all the best flavours and ingredients, prepared with precision and live for food, that doesn't break the bank. If this restaurant could be beamed to where I live, I never wouldeave and make my kitchen...
Read moreWe stayed in Brno during Easter, exploring the city and Prague over the weekend. On the first night we were looking for a restaurant that was still open, and we stumbled upon this gem not far from our hotel (Barceló). We had such a pleasant experience the first time around that we had to come back each night during our stay. For the third time they reserved a table for us, even though we just vaguely mentioned jokingly that we would be back tomorrow night. Ján was such a gentleman, I'd like to convey my thanks once again for his professionalism which made each dinner a very special occasion for us. As for the food, we had different options each night which reinforced the fact that you can't go wrong with whatever you choose from the menu. The duck breasts, the New York Strip steak (pictured) and the Crêpes Suzette were all stellar, Vittorio has some really talented chefs. Next time we're in Brno we don't need to look for a restaurant...
Read moreWe were in Europe for 2 weeks (Prague, Brno and Vienna) and Vittorio Restaurant provided us with the best food and memories of the entire trip.
When I had made the reservation, I had listed my son's birthday as the occasion for the dinner. When we were seated, the table had been laid out with tasteful decorations and they presented him with a "sparkling" birthday desert.
The service was top notch and attentive during the entire visit.
The food was fantastic and delicious. Since we had 7 in our party everybody had something different and we were able to sample many different dishes. There was no disappointment from anybody.
We look forward to visiting again, and highly recommend this restaurant for a wonderful fine dining experience.
