Lotus Restaurant - Grill & Sushi bar — Restaurant in okres Brno-město

This place was so good we ate there two nights in a row! We stayed at the Grand Palace Brno so the restaurant was right across the street. It has an indoor area, but the outdoor seats are great on a nice night. The homemade peach tea didn’t taste like tea at all, but it was by far the best thing I had drank in awhile. We had it both nights! They have quite a variety of food so we didn’t have any issues finding something we each liked. We started with the fried spring rolls both nights and the shrimp tempura. My friend had the shrimp tempura roll and she loved it. I had the prawn grill the first night and the pad Thai with chicken the following night. The prawn grill was ok, but I was expecting actual grilled shrimp and these had the heads/shells and were fried. The frying made them chewy and I didn’t care too much for it. However, the Pad Thai was excellent! Perfect balance of sweet/spicy and nicely cooked noodles. The chili flakes on the side let you customize the spiciness how you want. The only critique is the service. While they were super friendly, they really didn’t check on us at all and we sat there for quite awhile before they even attempted to bring us our check. An absolutely exceptional experience. This restaurant impressed me from the very beginning: the atmosphere is cozy yet refined, the service is impeccable, and every little detail feels carefully curated. We tried the fried rice, the ademanes, and the sashimi — and honestly, every dish was bursting with flavor. The rice had the perfect texture, full of rich aromas that reflect the best of Asian cuisine. The ademanes (authentic and full of character) added a special touch, and the sashimi... some of the freshest and most delicate I’ve had in a long time!

We paired everything with warm sake, served at just the right temperature — comforting, smooth, and full of subtle notes. To top it all off, the wine was truly incredible — clearly selected with care and perfectly suited to the meal.

One detail that deserves a huge shoutout: they’re dog-friendly! For those of us who love going out with our furry companions, this makes all the difference. Not only are dogs allowed, but you can tell they’re genuinely welcome, which is rare and very appreciated.
