Visited in early November as couple. Service average, food OK. Slightly touristy vibe. We ordered 1x grilled marrow bones (3 pieces) and 1x chef's recommendation, which was braised beef shank with marrow bones. The service staff were quite young and generally pleasant and friendly. However, they tended to be a bit slow and were not very proactive when taking our order. It took about 20 minutes until we were asked about our order. On the other hand, they served our food promptly once the order was placed. (4/5) As for the food, it was a mixed experience. The grilled marrow bones started off quite well, but ultimately, they turned out to be too greasy. It would have been much better if they had provided more bread rolls to balance out the richness. Additionally, the bones were perfectly grilled on one side, but unfortunately, they were hardly grilled on the other side. (3/5) The braised beef shank, on the other hand, had an unremarkable taste initially, but as we continued eating, it improved and turned out to be better than the marrow bones. The side dishes accompanying the beef shank were also decent. (4/5) The ambiance of the restaurant was typical of a beer brewery, well-lit, and overall nothing to complain about. The central beer tap in the hall was particularly attractive. (4/5) Overall, the food was not perfect but acceptable. The service could have been a bit more attentive and proactive in engaging with the guests. (4+3+4+4)/4 = 3,75 => 4 stars

This restaurant is in the Pilsner Urquell Brewery compound, right across the street from the tours. The location is great. The food was perfectly acceptable but nothing special, with ok but not great portion sizes and ok prices. We had the bread and cheese appetizer, and the cheese was fine but nothing like brie, which is how the menu described it. The goulash was good but light on the meat. The stuffed dumplings were good but came on a bed of sauerkraut, which the menu didn't mention either. Along with a few beers, the total was under $30 USD, so no real complaints. I would go again if I was there and hungry with no issue.

in short: avoid! visit the brewery and go eat somewhere else, where stuff knows the meaning of the word hospitality. you are not welcome here and will be walking out hungry. in more details: 12:15, a bit early for the lunch but we are hungry...we found 12 people in a 250 sets big restaurant hall...hostes is leading us (a decently dressed couple ) into a corner table next to a toilet door! Is that realy necesary I protested, but in vain, because I know, of course it is all under reservations and 200 people are just about to rush in. As, I already said we were hungry and decided to let her have her moment and stayed, expecting et least a tasteful and wholesome meal. Here comes another world-hating waiter bringing us menus and showing immediately intention to see us out in least posible amount of time. Let him too... lets finaly eat. But what's with the menu I asked? 150gr portions...are you sure you didn't bring us kids menu bro!? whata joke...now, food was tasting good. outstanding dark bread...two warm soups, too much salt but good. She had chicken breast with dumplings, tomato sauce tasted good. cooked properly to the right point. somebody knows his job here at least. but just enough for elementary school kid. luckily she dont eat more then fore mentioned kid. my dish - a beef goulash in beer sauce with yeast bread.a lot of yeast bread, sauce and shameful amount of beef. 70gr not more. Taste is in place. but I am hungry, not a judge in a freakin' cooking contest! Salad was fresh and lightly seasoned, excellent. This Chef deserves beter place to share his passion at. not this stingy, life energy sucking establishment.

"After a tourist trip to the brewery, we got hungry and decided to dine at the restaurant there. Upon entering, we immediately had a negative experience with the administrator, a woman with dark hair, who was at the entrance. Initially, she seemed reluctant to seat us inside, even though there were plenty of unreserved tables and we had a small child with us (our group had 8 people). Eventually, she led us to a table with 6 chairs. A waiter brought two more chairs from other tables. At this point, we remembered about another person and asked for an additional chair. The woman became upset, raised her voice, saying we were clueless and unaware, and then left angrily. The waitstaff, however, were very pleasant, took our first order, and brought another chair. Then, the dark-haired administrator came back, trying to take away the chair brought for my mother, but eventually left it, remarking that we were doing everything wrong. Thankfully, we didn’t have to interact with this unprofessional person again. The rest of our experience was excellent - the waitstaff provided superb service, the food was delicious, and the restaurant had a pleasant atmosphere. However, our evening was marred by one incompetent employee. I just don’t understand why they would hire such an unprofessional administrator who should be helping and addressing customer needs, as customers pay for this service and it ultimately benefits the restaurant. We ended up spending 150 euros in an hour at this restaurant and would have been completely satisfied if it weren't for the inadequate administrator."

Byli jsme v hospodě Na Spilce (nikoliv v restauraci), přišli jsme a sedli si. Obsluha nás viděla přicházet (došlo k navázání očního kontaktu) a viděla nás, jak jsme se usadili. To bylo ale vše. Čekali jsme cca 10 minut a stále nikdo nepřicházel. Tak jsem se po 10 minutovém čekání zvedl a šel za obsluhou, zda-li si můžeme objednat alespoň pivo a oni že ano, ale ŽE SE OBJEDNÁVÁ NA BARU. Rozumím, že to tak máte možná nastaveno, ale nikde toto nebylo napsáno a uvedeno a ani nám to nebylo žádným způsobem oznámeno. Tento samoobslužný servis rozhodně není v Plzeňských restauracích standardem, takže neočekávám, že se obsluha po usazení neuráčí ani přijít k hostovi. Podotýkám, že byl všední den - konkrétně pátek 1.3.2024 v 12:00. V podniku se nacházeli pouze dva lidé sedící samostatně a pijící pivo. Z obsluhy tu byly tři lidé, takže zde bylo více obsluhy než personálu a i přesto, že si tam povídali a neměli co dělat, tak nikoho nenapadlo za námi přijít a minimálně nám oznámit, že se objednává na baru. Nechali nás tam sedět a zřejmě se sázeli, jak dlouho tam vydržíme čekat. Pivo bylo jinak vynikající, dobře načepované, pivně čistá sklenice, která kroužkovala, k tomu nemám co vytknout. Ale ta obsluha, respektive přístup k tomu, že tam někoho necháte tak dlouho čekat, mi fakt neleze do hlavy. Nevím, měl jsem za to, že restaurace spadající pod Plzeňský Prazdroj mají svojí úroveň a standardy a když dorazím přímo do Plzeňského pivovaru, kde by to mělo být úplně na 1*, tak tady je to úplný opak. Nevím, co by byl za problém, v prázdném podniku přijít za hostem a zeptat se ho, co si dá - nebo ho minimálně upozornit, že si má zajít objednat na bar. Ale když už mu to jdu oznámit, tak mu rovnou mohu objednat. Respektoval bych to, kdyby zde bylo narváno a nikdo by nestíhal a všichni by museli být za barem, ale ještě jednou podotýkám, že byl podnik úplně prázdný a obsluha si víceméně jen povídala a nic nedělala. Z velkého nadšení se stala tragédie a zklamání. Dali jsme si tedy jen jedno pivo a na oběd jsme si zašli do jinačí restaurace, mimo areál plzeňského prazdroje. Při příští návštěvě se taktéž radši zastavíme jinde. Velká škoda.

Loved the atmosphere in the restaurant and the service (a blessed relief after the appalling service on offer almost everywhere in Prague). What was weird was the dish I ordered. The description on the menu read “Beef shank beer goulash, homemade yeast dumpling with beer bread roll, onion, fresh horseradish.” What was plated was the goulash with four slices of bread. No dumpling, no roll, no discernible onion (although it could have been an ingredient in the sauce) and no horseradish. I have zero idea why the waiter didn’t explain these changes when I ordered the dish. Weird.
