Agora — Restaurant in Prague

On the 18th of March I have placed an order to this restaurant through bolt food, which will be the only meal that I would eat with my girlfriend that day. When it was delivered it was all packaged correctly, delivered dry all good. Very excited to eat some fried calamari because out of all the restaurants that I have visited in Prague, this was the only one serving it, opening it up it looked ok, but after 2-3 hours something started to feel wrong. First it was me. I started to feel bad- bad around 6pm and at 9pm was already in bed with a temperature of 38.1 and with low blood pressure, diarrhea and throwing up, but it did not stop there. I HAD TO BE TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL BY THE AMBULANCE to get an IV around 3am after trowing up nearly 7times (not mentioning the side affects like I had a shaky body for the whole night) THANKGOD that my girlfriend came with because after arrival to the hospital, maybe 1hr passed and she went to the restroom and started to throw up as well with diarrhea too. From there it was obvious that we had been poisoned by the food and the only thing we shared was the calamari. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, you have WAYyyY better option where you can go eat, but this place with its rude staff is unacceptable I highly suggest you stay away.

We did not eat in the restaurant, and yes we did order via BOLT. I mentioned how we ate only from your restaurant that day and sorry to get specific, but when I went to the bathroom and had puked, it smelled like finish hinting that it was sea food related, and as you can connect the dots, it was the calamari. Food inspection...

Oh my, where do I start. We were so excited to eat here because the reviews were wonderful, but unfortunately our experience was not so great. When we first arrived we were really confused because there was hardcore EDM middle school dance music playing - an incredibly weird vibe. Next is the food... we were hoping for hummus but instead we got a dish of mashed fava beans - and that’s all it was, mashed fava beans with no seasoning and some small tomato and onions thrown on top. Zero flavor. We were so disappointed. This cost us 165czk. We then ordered the chicken gyros which was described as a full meal with lots of delicious sides but instead we received a large plate that looked more like a kids meal than anything - greasy chicken fritters, 5 french fries, a couple onions, 3 small slices of tomato, a dollop of tzatziki sauce, and 2 small triangles of pita bread. To be completely honest, we would have enjoyed a kebab from a local kebab stand more than this dish and for less than half the price. Now although the vibe was off and some of our dishes were whack, the fried zucchini and tzatziki sauce were AMAZING as well as the service. The place itself was clean and it seemed to be pretty popular. Perhaps we just didn’t know what to order - but for the price 740czk +tip for unsatisfactory food, it just didn’t seem worth it. A dining experience quite like no other! After visiting rhodes earlier this year, we thought we'd try a Greek restaurant whilst in prague, safe to say it's worth the try out. When I made the reservation online, there was no mention of a singer or anything being there the same night. So safe to say when we walked up to the restaurant it had quite a buzz with a dj playing etc and it had a great atmosphere, it was also fully booked for the night. The food was incredible, good portion sizes and everything tasted really fresh, great value for money and the menu was in English towards the back too. Staff and waiters were super friendly and happy to engage and looked happy to be working there which was great to see. The night itself was insane, live performance from Akis Diximos who's from Athens alongside a birthday party and a mix of events within the restaurant, but it was lively! the singer meant people were dancing and celebrating being Greek with true authenticity of dancing outside and inside and smashing plates, and generally having a great time! I'd definitely recommend visiting whether they have a performer there or not, the restaurant itself was kept to a high standard and staff were brilliant, and the food...
