The food was amazing, but some of the employees were very rude and put more than 10% of tips on their own, which ruined our experience. I am a local expat living in Prague and visited this place on October 6th, for lunch around 12, with a friend who's here for a short term. There were three people in total we encountered in the restaurant, and the one who took the order and served the food was really kind. But the others.. horrible. We ordered two beers and an employee came with them. He started to complain just because we didn't put the coasters on the table by ourselves. He said, "You are in the Czech Republic. Always put it in front of you. Always" in a very very rude tone. But hey.. I have never had this situation for the past few years? When I told my Czech friends about this, they said it's ridiculous and would never happen to them. The other employee, who was in a shoulder strap (I guess), took more than 10% of the total as a tip. A friend of mine who paid, of course, thought it was the norm here because he was a traveller. I only found out when I double checked with a friend how much he paid. Such a...
Read moreI recently visited one of the establishments in Prague, and I would like to share my impressions. Upon arrival at this place, I immediately appreciated the quick and polite service. As for the drink selection, I was delighted with the delicious beer, which was served in perfect condition. Moreover, the beer snacks were simply splendid and paired wonderfully with the beverage.
However, the most unforgettable moment for me was when I was settling the bill. Accidentally, I mistakenly placed more money than was required. To my surprise, the waiter noticed this error and not only honestly informed me about it, but also returned the extra money. This truly impressed me and earned my deep respect for this establishment.
Overall, I was extremely satisfied with my visit to this place in Prague. Its ambiance, tasty beer, and most importantly, honest and attentive service make it a truly unique spot. This is one of the reasons why I fell even more in love with this wonderful city of Prague. I confidently recommend this establishment to anyone planning to visit this...
Read moreThe ambiance and service were decent. They accept credit cards too.
However, the most important factor, which was food and taste, was the biggest disappointment.
We ordered a chicken schnitzel and beef goulash. Arriving in Prague, we jokingly said we would avoid fast food chains such as McDonalds and try the local Czech specialities instead. But the chicken schnitzel resembled 3 pieces of McDonalds chicken tenders! I've never seen chicken schnitzel cut into thin strips before like this. I've always seen it a huge slab of snitzel. The taste was bland too. No wonder the waitress automatically asks you what two sides do you want because she knew how small the actual portion is. By the way, the sides were not included in the price of the schnitzel.
The beef goulash was ok flavorwise. But the portion was small. You get 4 small chunks of beef that was on the tough chewy side.
Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere for good...
