Pekny Bistro — Restaurant in Prague

Im not one to usually leave a negative review, but when it is warrented one must.

Not sure what happened to the reviews I'm reading, but my experience was the complete opposite. We sat outside waiting to check in to our apartment and were told to come to this place—what a waste. The waiter was rude, "chucked" the food down, and made us feel unwelcome after arriving in the country following 15 hours of travel.

Only after we took the breakfast plates back to the front ourselves did we finally get a decent interaction with the staff. This was really not a great experience for first-time travelers to Prague.

Additionally, we were told there would be an additional charge for storing luggage per item while we waited to check into our apartment. After paying a significant amount for our stay, it seemed unreasonable to charge for this service. I understand they don’t want to be overwhelmed with luggage, no practical alternative was offered, leaving us feeling stranded.

One must assume that they are either owned by the same person or have an understanding with each other, so you'd expect some level of service continuity. However, we were met with dismissive attitudes, poor communication, and unjustified charges, especially after such a long journey. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone expecting basic...

I was not satisfied with my experience at this place. I ordered a dish called " a selection of sausages with mustard and horseradish" for a pricy 225 CZK as an accompanying snack for my beer. To my surprise when the dish arrived, there were only 2 medium sausages on the plate - which I found not fair and too little to justify this price for this dish called " a selection of sausages". When I read the word "selection" I expect to have a minimum of 3-4 different sausages. When I came to pay, the waiter asked me if I wanted to add a tip - which I found to be totally inappropriate as the tip needs to be deserved through a good quality of food/ service and price which wasn't the case for me on this occasion. I found 225 CZK for 2 basic sausages was a total rip off. Plus the customer should never be asked to give a tip, it is the customer's pure voluntary will to decide on that. WORST SERVICE EVER EXPERIENCED. The waiter came to take our order and he told us that the pulled pork that we wanted to order was finished (usually you should tell in advance if something present on the menu is not available). I also asked the waiter if the shrimps in the starters had lactose because I’m ALLERGIC and he said no!! Only later the other waiter who brought me the plate told me that it was full of butter…. They didn’t even apologize for the mistake and my boyfriend ate it by himself. Later, they brought the other plates we had ordered, one each, too bad the burger my bf ordered had bbq sauce that WAS NOT written on the menu (he had asked no mayonnaise because he doesn’t like sauces but didn’t know about the bbq).
