Let me tell you about an absolutely fantastic evening I had last night at a place called Beer and Friends. We actually decided to check it out on the recommendation of a friend, and I'm so glad we did! From the moment we walked in, we were blown away. The environment and atmosphere were just perfect – a really welcoming and enjoyable vibe that made us feel instantly comfortable. Now, I have to say, the absolute highlight of the night was the service, especially our waiter. Seriously, he was incredible. It's been a long time since I felt so genuinely welcomed and looked after at a bar. He was so friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed without being intrusive. He was also incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to perfectly describe each of the beers on tap, which our recommending friend particularly appreciated as he was eager to see if it lived up to his expectations. And oh man, the beer itself was simply outstanding. Each one we tried felt original and full of flavor. It was exactly the kind of place where you could happily spend the entire evening just sampling their diverse selection. Our recommending friend was right – it was a real treat for any craft beer lover, and perfect for the kind of leisurely tasting we had planned. Beer and Friends isn't just a bar; it's an experience. The selection of beers was excellent, offering something for every taste, from hoppy IPAs to rich stouts. The appetizers paired perfectly with the drinks, making it a great place to relax and enjoy a few rounds. What really stood out, though, was the hospitality. The owner was incredibly welcoming and clearly knowledgeable about the beers they serve, which added to the overall experience. Plus, the staff spoke English very well, making it easy to chat about the different options.

10th-12th May 2023: The last time I came to Prague was with dad in November 2003. This time I'm older, wiser, more bald and married.

Beer & Friends is exactly what it. Tucked away in a back street, we only saw it due to the welcoming blue neon sign in the window. Upon entering everyone was so friendly and we were greeted by a small but adequate whiteboard of tapped ales. We chose the Patchwork/Vagabond Mulberry Imperial Gose 6.5% and the Falkenstein Emil American Pale Ale 3.9%. Plenty of seating in the side room away from the small counter top bar...
