One of the more beautiful old world style breakfast/brunch spot across from Old Town up the hill. Worth every step of the walk as my wife and enjoyed eating somewhere that felt more local instead of touristy. The staff was super friendly and very attentive. The quality of light and decoration in the restoration of the dining area was so well done. You could admire the level of detail in every aspect of the design. The flat whites were amazing and the ginger lemon tea was so fresh and healthy. We started with a slice of banana bread and didn’t disappoint. Followed by the french toast which was so light and topped with fresh plum compote sauce, creme fresh and ground poppy seeds. This was so unique and light, you could definitely order a second dish if you were really hungry. I ordered the brussels/mushroom egg dish which was so healthy and came with a few pieces of nut bread that was really unique and fresh. I would highly recommend trying this spot as it was somewhere you could relax after a walk and enjoy a perfectly balanced meal with plenty of beverage options in a...
Read moreI specifically asked here if my order had any nuts in and they said no but when my food order arrived it there was nuts all over the top and I am allergic to nuts (Turkish eggs to was my order to confirm, no reason whatsoever for them to have any sort of nuts on) I asked the waitress to confirm if this was nuts and she said “no these are beans” and I said i am allergic to nuts and she didn’t care / know anything about the food, I trusted her word and took one bite and these were 100% nuts, I had a severe allergic reaction following this and was very unwell for most of that day. I was appalled and upset and mostly disgusted that the waiters did not care and also are advertising their food wrong and putting nuts all over eggs? There is absolutely no allergens on their menu’s either. Horrifying experience. I do NOT recommend, the food all tasted poor, the staff were unknowledgeable, very poor and unhappy experience whilst I was on holiday, so many other 1 star...
Read moreA small, crowded cafe/bistro attracting hipsters and, for some reason, mums with small children. Trendy, pricey and in some way very popular.
On our first visit, we were very pleased. We got both their sweet and savoury breakfast plates. They were ordinary, nothing special; some bread, jam, butter, porridge and fruit. But good and sufficient.
Coffee was average, more on the sour side. Service could be quicker but the place is always so packed that it is no wonder something might take a while.
On our second visit though, almost everything went bad. We were given a small table right next to the toilets and entrance door, regardless our booking the seats beforehand. We ordered a turkey sandwich which was dry and dull. The service took forever and we were disappointed. Maybe we’ll give it a one more...
