Letná Viewpoint — Attraction in Prague

Vyhlídka na místě bývalé horní stanice lanové dráhy vznikla v roce 2019 (investice v hodnotě 2,3 milionu korun). Součástí vyhlídky jsou části opěrných stěn, základy budovy i opravené původní zábradlí. Lanová dráha byla zprovozněna 31. května 1891 jako první lanovka v Praze, jezdila do roku 1916, zrušena byla roku 1922. Vedla od řetězového mostu císaře Františka Josefa (u dnešního dolního vyústění Letenského tunelu) k Letenskému zámečku, kde na ni navazovala Křižíkova elektrická dráha do Královské obory. V letech 1926-1935 byl v trase bývalé lanovky zprovozněn eskalátor.

The viewpoint on the site of the former cable car top station was built in 2019 (investment worth CZK 2.3 million). The lookout includes parts of the retaining walls, the foundations of the building and the repaired original railings. The cable car was put into operation on 31 May 1891 as the first cable car in Prague, it ran until 1916 and was cancelled in 1922. It led from the Emperor Franz Josef Chain Bridge (at the present-day lower exit of the Letná Tunnel) to Letná Chateau, where it was followed by the Křižík Electric Railway to the Royal Game Preserve.
