The place itself was nice and the views was perfect. The motive of this review: if you like your beer spiked with a bit of xenophobia this is your place. I went with some colleagues and we were consuming and spending in the wooden tables for 2 and a half hours, 10-11 people, all of us several beers and some of us ordered food. However, two in our group could not have the food of the place, due to health reasons and went to grab something from a nearby place to have while they were with us. While they were eating in our table, one waitress came to ask them to leave because we had brought food from outside. The issue was not the message but the aggressiveness with which it was delivered. If good manners had been used, no problem would have arisen. However, once they were disrespectful, we said we would not leave out of pride. The waitress proceeded to threaten with calling the police, to which we encouraged. This resulted in the manager (we think) to come telling us WE had been aggressive and to leave immediately the premises, accusing us of drunkness and inquiring where we were from, which had nothing to do with this issue, so it should not have been brought up. He then again said he would call the cops, which we again told them to do. He called them in front of us and, thanks to a Czech speaking friend, we learnt he was telling them we were not only not consuming, but we had brought our own alcohol and food with us. When we told him we had understood and why he had lied, he was aggressively telling us to get out or else. This behavior is unprofessional in hospitality. Once the police arrived they even recommended other places because they had...
Read moreThe location is great but we had a very unpleasant situation when 2 of our colleagues brought food from a nearby restaurant. We were a group of 20 people consuming on the place but due to 2 people having brought food from outside we got kicked out by the security guard. When we got adviced that it is not allowed, our colleagues went out to eat it. Anyway the security still called the policed and stated we brought alcohol from outside, something that it is not true.
I don't recommend the place because that security guard seem to choose people randomly to bring trouble as we have been told later on by other customers who viewed the situation and the restaurant, as any private placement in Czechia, has the right to kick out...
Read moreWent both restaurant and the beer garden.
Restaurant service was good was walk-in and wait time was an hour. It was enough time to walk to various lookout points and come back to be seated. Was very reasonable price: had traditional beef dish + glass of red wine for only 405CKZ and the food was much better than what you get at many tourist spots in town. Accept both cash and card.
Beer garden has very nice view and ample sitting. There’s glass deposit for 50 CKZ which you get back when you return glass. Cash only.
They show genuine appreciation(or surprise?) for tipping and left me feeling good- unlike in US where servers act...
