Food & Lounge by Shi-Shi — Restaurant in Prague

I used to love this place hence why we came again. Service and shisha was good but what made us unhappy was the paying part. Every time we could pay with a card. This time, already when we came it seemed as we were the only customers ( mind you it wasn't even close before closing time). Once we asked to pay we were informed of card terminal not being on. So we had to take out money from a 3rd party cash machine where you overpay on fees and have high chance of being scammed. Also, not to mention the lady behind bar giving us money back extremely slowly coin after coin ( usually people do this so customer would get embarrassed/annoyed and leave extra tip). I would much appreciate being told up front of not being able to pay by card. Even if they wanted to close earlier as it was slower night we would rather be informed then to go trough this trouble. We are definitely not coming back....

This place is perfect for shisha and some asian food. So good that I came by almost daily during my short trip to Prague. High ceiling, spacious, great lighting, comfortable seats, great music and very attentive and friendly staff.

Shisha here is out of this world when the shisha master is there. I let the master mix one for me and was truly blown away. Strong, smooth and perfect. Coal change is the most prompt and frequent ive seen in any shisha place.

Staff speaks a variety of languages including English. Menu was also available in English.

The vibe on Saturday is just oozing with party+chill atmosphere and the staff were all on full energy. Amazing place 10/10 would come back again if I visit...

As someone who lives in California and spoilt by the limitless selection and outstanding quality of Asian food, I'm typically not inclined to eat Asian food while I'm traveling. But I chanced upon Food Lounge by Shi Shi (an unlikely name to begin with), mostly because I had time to kill while waiting to check in to my Airbnb.

I must admit I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and portion size. One of my requirements for a good dining experience is that it is owner-operated. Doesn't matter if it's a taco stand or a 5 star restaurant, a proprietor usually cares more about his/her business than an employee.
