Restaurace NaJedli — Restaurant in Prague

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Restaurant NaJedli in Prague, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we stepped in, the service was impeccable—attentive staff, timely service, and a warm ambiance that set the stage for a delightful evening.

Now, let's talk about the food—the culinary journey was truly extraordinary. The Venison Carpaccio was a revelation, a masterpiece adorned with rocket salad, Parmesan, and wild capers. Each bite was a symphony of flavors, a feast fit for celestial palates.

The Confit duck leg was a showstopper, served alongside vibrant red cabbage and scrumptious homemade potato dumplings. The duck was cooked to perfection, tender and flavorful, complemented by the rich notes of the red cabbage and the comforting texture of the potato dumplings.

We are from Canada - asked receptionist at our hotel for a restaurant that was close by and served traditional Czech food. She suggested Na Jedli - - just down the street!

We were greeted and shown to a table on the back patio. It was 8pm - beautiful weather, twinkling lights above and battery powered lights on the tables - - nice ambiance, once you get used to the echo. Drinks were delivered very quickly.

I had the sirloin with dumplings on a cream sauce with a cranberry reduction, my companions had risotto, and risotto with pork (I think). We all enjoyed our food. Prior to our trip I was worried about spices in Czech food - - but everything...

On our first day in Prague after an overnight flight we were looking for some place close by. A beautiful rich dark wooden interior greets you as you enter. A chamingly decorated 'patio' outside of the restaurant in a huge covered atrium. Friendly and attentive staff took our order for a chicken Cesar and Chicken with Thyme sauce & vegetables and polenta! A perfectly seasoned salad with plenty of freshly shaved parmesan cheese, the thyme sauce on perfectly cooked tender juicy chicken breast...
