Highland Restaurant - Steak House — Restaurant in Prague

CZ To je nejhorší restaurace, kterou jsem kdykoliv navštívil. Až jsme objednali jídlo, poprosili jsme všechno přinést spolu (tataráčky, steaky, saláty), za půlhodiny nám přinesly tataráky (zvlašť) vím, že je to předkrm, ale to bylo objednáno jako hlavní chod. (!) Zatímco jsme objednávali pití, kolega se nemohla rozhodnout co si dá, a poprosila počkat, na co dostala odpověď od servírky “Čekat nebudu!” , která se pak otočila a odešla. Uvnitř restauraci bylo vedro, nedalo se normálně dýchat, dekorativní polštáře smrděli cigaretami (i když je kouření ve vnitřních prostorech zakázáno už nějakých 5 let). Dokonce se nezeptala jak maso chceme propect, což je neuvěřitelné pro “Steakhouse” Další hodinu jsme čekali na steaky a saláty. Kvalita jídel: Steaky se nepodařilo žvýkat, byly to prostě kousky masa z mrazáku, ne steaky ale kousky masa! Já jsem si objednal lososa na grilu, který pak dostal bez žádné přílohy (ano, jen losos a omáčka), když jsem se pokusil objednat další salát, řekli mi, že to se bude připravovat půlhodiny (SALÁT PŮLHODINY), a nebylo v tom okamžiku moc lidi, kromě našeho stolu byli ještě 3. Bohužel jsem se nezeptal na jméno servírky, abych ho tady napsal, ale měla tmavé vlasy. Rozhodně sem nechoďte!!! Ztráta času, peněz, a nálady!

This is the worst restaurant I've ever been to. When we ordered our food, we asked for everything to be brought along (tartare, steaks, salads), half an hour later they brought us tartare, I know it's an appetizer, but it was ordered as a main dish. (!) While we were ordering our drinks, my colleague couldn't decide what to have and asked to wait, to which she got a reply from the waitress "I won't wait!" , who then turned and walked away. Inside the restaurant it was hot, you couldn't breathe normally, the decorative cushions smelled of cigarettes (even though smoking has been banned indoors for some 5 years). She didn't even ask how we wanted the meat (well done/medium/medium rare/rare), which is unbelievable for a "Steakhouse" We waited another hour for our steaks and salads. Food Quality: The steaks were not chewy, they were just chunks of meat from the freezer, not steaks but chunks of meat! I ordered the grilled salmon, which was then given with no side dishes (yes, just salmon and sauce), when I tried to order another salad I was told it would take half an hour to prepare (SALAD HALF AN HOUR), and there weren't many people at that point, there were 3 other tables besides ours. Unfortunately I didn't ask for the waitress's name to write it down here, but she had dark hair. Definitely don't come here!!! Waste of time,...

Overall im giving 3 stars. I have had many experiences here, both for lunch and dinner. Most of them I would rate 4 stars because of the service level, the quality of the food & beverage and the overall price point. Nevertheless I have had one or two inferior experiences as well. And this was shown by the long wait and inferior taste as well as an inferior level of overall hospitality. Gave them a second chance and it was a great experience again. When I'm back in this area of Prague I will visit again and provide my feedback. In a nutshell: a local steakhouse with a decent selection of cuts and side orders as well as a pleasing wine list. On my majority of visits and I mean 90% the quality and hospitality was good. The price-quality ratio was good. This was between 2010...

My boyfriend and I were staying at an Air bnb just up the street and stopped in for a casual dinner after a long day. The place wasn’t very busy so we could relax and have a cold beer while we waited for food. We ordered a steak each and, I kid you not, this steak was the best one I’ve had in my whole life. I still talk about it 3 years later (and may return to Prague in the future just to have another taste). We actually came back the next day to have another. There was a good amount of variety with menu offerings, but I had the exact same order because I dreamed about it the night before haha. Portions were generous and we couldn’t believe the price. A meal like that in Canada would go for 2-3x the price. Well done! Love...
