I really like the Loving Hut chain, but today my girlfriend and I didn't have good experiences at this one. We went there separately, our visits were about 2-3 hours apart, and when we both went there, there was a sign up saying 'Happy Hours - 70kc per plate'. But when we got to the checkout, we were told that that was a mistake and it was actually full price (at 24kc per 100g, mine was over 200kc - not extortionate, but 3 times what I was expecting). I paid, but I kind of wish I'd just left my full plate there and said I didn't want it, now I know that this happened at least twice in one day. The sign didn't say when the happy hours start or finish.
Also the food was cold and there was a dog behind the counter. For me, for a restaurant, that's a big no-no. I like dogs, but not anywhere near where my food is being prepared.
I hope that today was just a one-off. It won't stop me going to Loving Hut... unless it...
Read moreAll food is fresh & very tasty (judging by two visits on consecutive days). One may quasi build one's own meal by selecting from various pre-made dishes at the counter. Plates are paid by weight. The price is exceedingly affordable, & one will surely not leave hungry.
There is no service at the tables. Drinks are available in / from plastic bottles. The interieur is most Spartan, & hardly as tasteful as the food. Then again, the meal matters.

Read moreLove this place. I heard that it wasn't this beautiful all the time, but recently it reopened after reconstruction. The food is good and filling. You pay for what you eat - it is a bistro after all. The food is affordable and you can leave spending only 80 Kč with a full tummy (but you have to pick your food right). So far the food selection was the same during my 4 visits.
The place is mostly visited by women. I go there with my colleagues from work. The cooks and bistro service are Asian. I saw only one native Czech worker there.
