Metrocafe — Restaurant in Prague

Nice Café setting after a long trip around the castle. Small portions but nice tasting. Dumplings were more like bread slices than actual dumplings but this may just be traditional dish. Staff spoke great English. Upon arrival we asked if we could pay via card, the answer was yes, on paying the bill we were refused and told cash only. Luckily I had the cash on me else would been in an awkward position. Others were told to walk to an ATM to pay. A sign to say cash only would not go a miss and save a lot...

As soon as we arrived, the bar staff was urging us to order. Even during the ordering process, she interrupted and sighed while mumbling to herself. When we asked the staff what she had just said, she seemed embarrassed.

We had a pleasant visit and wanted to drink Illy coffee, but it turned out to be a bad memory from our time in the Czech Republic.

Outside is nicer than inside.

Good selection of drinks, foods and desserts available. Inside doesn't do it justice but on a nice day it is lovely to sit outside within the wall garden area.
