If you're looking for an authentic taste of Mexican culture, Alebrijes is the place to go. From the moment you step inside, the vibrant atmosphere instantly immerses you in the rich traditions of Mexico. Unlike other spots, Alebrijes doesn’t just offer a meal – it offers an experience, capturing the essence of Mexican cuisine and culture with every detail.
The authenticity of the food at Alebrijes is second to none. The dishes are true to their roots, showcasing regional flavors and ingredients in ways that feel both familiar and deeply connected to Mexican culinary traditions. You’ll find classics like tacos, mole, and flautas, each crafted with a level of care and respect for the original recipes. The spices are perfectly balanced, the meats are tender and flavorful, and even the salsas have that homemade, fiery kick that makes you feel like you're eating at a family gathering in Mexico.
When comparing Alebrijes to Adelita, it’s clear that Alebrijes stands head and shoulders above. While Adelita's has become a popular choice for those seeking a "Mexican dining" experience, it falls short in terms of authenticity and attention to detail. Alebrijes delivers not just in flavor, but in the overall vibe. The décor is also worth mentioning – colorful, lively, and thoughtfully designed to reflect Mexican folk art and traditions, from the whimsical alebrijes (the brightly colored wooden creatures) to the murals that line the walls, all of which transport you directly to the heart of Mexico.
Alebrijes isn't just another Mexican restaurant; it’s a celebration of Mexican culture. Whether you're savoring a dish or soaking in the vibrant surroundings, you can feel the love and dedication behind every element. If you want an experience that goes beyond just food and connects you to the heart of Mexican heritage, Alebrijes is...
Read moreWe visited last night, and the whole experience was terrible from the beginning. Please learn how to pour a beer. The first one was way under the fill line. And when we asked a top-up, all 5 staff seemed confused what we actually want. The newly brought beer was over the fill line, with nearly no head. I had Tacos Carne, and for the price it's the most boring meal I have seen in long time. Four taco shells with only dry meat, onion and coriander. Not a huge portion of a pretty boring meal. At least some cheese, or sour cream would be nice (without charging extra for cheese) Each of the meals had same condiments, also quite boring. The waiter came and offered some Mezcal tequila. OK, we agreed on a tasting sample first, before deciding which one to go for. Then we ordered 4 shots, they were messily poured - no measure, slightly spilled into one of the dishes as handed over. Then we found the tasting sample was charged for. OK, I understand if we did not order the actual shots, then it makes sense, but paying for the sample was a bit unnecessary. The final bill had two extra items on it, valued at 450,- total. We originally paid the full bill without checking properly, left and then checked, finding 450,-CZK extra added. We did get the cash back. Yes, it can happen, but with all the previous issues, this was a definitely a confirmation this place is a mess. We were offered a free drink as a compensation for the trouble, which was a nice gesture. Thank you
We were told the staff is new, but since this is not your first branch, I would expect a better and experienced...
Read moreWe loved this place. Food was thoughtfully prepared with quality ingredients. Service great. One person stood out: Reinita (probably not spelling it right) but she knows who she is! We found out we had a common love for Antigua Guatemala! This place was very busy on the night we were there. Most tables were reserved, which tells you that it is very popular with a young crowd, mostly locals. The food used the freshest ingredients. The dishes we had really had a nice spice kick in them. Rather pleasantly surprised given the mild flavors of Czech cuisine. I had enchiladas verde and loved them. Whatever my spouse had she loved it too. She is celiac, so nice to have most dishes gluten free naturally. The classic margarita was exactly what you’d expect and all was very reasonably priced.
One thing to remember, you may see some reviews from “Joe” in Arizona or “Dufus” from Texas talk about how they know all about Mexican food and make claims about authentic or not. Keep in mind, every area of Mexico has vastly different regional cuisine. So, if the food is prepared by a Mexican, using quality Mexican ingredients, and the food has great flavors, then it’s good Mexican food! Try this place, I think you’ll...
