We were here with my friends on Saturday and we wanted to sit outside at the garden table to have a beer. The waiter with the glasses told us (in a rather indiscriminate way) that if we want to only have a beer (and not food) we are very lucky that he will allow us to sit down.

We waited for possibility to order about 15 - 20 minutes. The mentioned waiter was not in a mood to serving us at all (I understand that the earnings for drinks are not as high as for food), so we asked the passing waitress if she would serve us and if there is a possibility to have some Pilsen beer. Her impolite reaction was that we are in the brewery and Pilsen beer is not available. So we ordered some of their lager (it was good).

Meanwhile group of German foreigners arrived and they also wanted to settle at the garden table but they were rejected so they settled on their own. However, another of the waiters (a young waiter with a non - athletic body) immediately began swearing and gesturing at this group of foreigners!?

I must say that I was very surprised by the unprofessional behavior of the entire staff, I have never ever saw anything like this in any of the (Pragues) restaurants.

It’s not clear to me how this restaurant can work - after all, the staff can not expect any tips for such a behavior. If it were possible, I would evaluate without one star (zero would correspond better to...

This place is a tourist trap. It has a nice outdoor seating area, which is what drew us in on a warm evening, but that is where the positives end. The food was more or less okay, but quite bland. The worst thing was the staff. They showed little to no interest in their customers. I know they say "czech people are bad at service with a smile", but I don't agree with that – czech people are lovely! Anyhow, it wasn't the lack of smiles, but them standing around in a circle chatting whilst guests were trying to get their attention. When we were to pay the bill, the waitress asked us (!!) to add "a tip of 10%". First of all, her math was way off - she was asking for about 18%! And second of all, nobody has ever asked us for a tip before ever. Especially as she had barely looked at us the whole time.

While we were there, also, a spanish family at the table next to us were completely ignored by staff. They had ordered chips, but after asking three times over 45 minutes, they still had not gotten their chips. The woman waiter who asked us for a tip talked to them in the end and they asked for the bill, and she was rather rudly arguing with them over removing the chips from their bill. This was not during a busy time at the restaurant, with plenty of staff there - but they spent more time standing around talking...

What a shame. We chose the place thinking it’s human and friendly. Price wasn’t even an issue until I had a very disappointing experience. They added tips to every single item we ordered—drinks and food—without informing us or asking for our consent. Tips should be a choice, not a hidden fee forced onto customers. This kind of practice feels dishonest and left a bad impression. I would not recommend this place to anyone who values transparency and good customer service.

To be more specific, as it was a company dinner, we even agreed on prices. Therefore, taking advantage of everyone who ordered additionally to the agreed order, is a real scam.

This message is meant for tourist but also Czechs who are looking for a place to eat at. It’s the reason why I wrote in English.

Please consider this comment before choosing to eat here. Food is not even bad. But honestly here is as far from honesty as slippers are...

I sat down at noon, thinking I'd have a beer. I had a Malostransky lager - good. When I was 2 cm at the bottom the waiter forced another one into me. If I knew what I wanted, he kept poking. There weren't many guests. I had a second Brown IPA, and I sniffed that. The third Flakes APA didn't suit me, the fruitiness was very weak - I had to look for it, I didn't feel the fullness, the bitterness didn't stand out - after two sips I let the full one go and pleased myself with another dark IPA. The beers they brew are decent, the service is quick but a bit rude and they wanted to pay for the beer not consumed. The chef looked like a bypass and was loitering around the place. Food by the look of the neighbors at reasonable prices, quality average. I spent more than what they came to both .... no tipping

The service was really welcoming from the very beginning. Unfortunately the restaurant was full the time we have gotten there around 3pm on Monday but a kind waiter has told us that we can be seated in 10 min. We went to the tidy restroom and the time we been finished we already got seated. Amazing medieval atmosphere inside with roman walls with a great seek on a park. It can be a bit chilly in some places inside. Beer was on top and arrived quickly even tho the restaurant was full. Great selection of the menu. Easily understandable, not overcrowded list. We found it both in English and Czech. They also had daily menu at that time. Food was really great and mostly traditional. Perfect portion with our selected items.
