We stumbled upon Rakin almost by chance, and what a discovery it turned out to be. Just three weeks open, and already one of the most memorable dining experiences we’ve had in Prague.

From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and hospitality. The team made us feel like old friends rather than first-time guests—attentive, relaxed, and clearly passionate about what they’re creating.

And the food… wow. Every dish was a bold, playful surprise. Raw dorade with strawberries? Bright, delicate, and totally addictive. The smoked octopus with watermelon was an explosion of contrast and depth. But the star of the night may have been the tuna à la plancha with sour mango and peanut dressing—an inspired pairing that somehow just works.

As if that wasn’t enough, we had the honor of tasting their freshly launched house white wine—crisp, vibrant, and the perfect complement to the menu.

Visiting Rakin was an experience we will never forget. The restaurant specializes in seafood and we had the opportunity to taste some really interesting flavor combinations.

Right from the start David, the manager and sommelier, recommended a great champagne that complemented the whole evening perfectly and we had to stick with it after the first glass. For starters we opted for the hot dog with octopus, oysters and fritto misto which was beautifully crispy and fresh.

The main course, a Louisiana bowl with shrimp and crawfish was perfect and slightly spicy.
