This place has authentic Indian food. Many Indians had already informed us that Amrit is 'over-hyped' but we still went there for the experience. We then went to another restaurant called Maharaja (at Goltzstraße 20) to experience true Indian chicken dishes which we were not craving for 3-months - no doubt the food at Maharaja was better than Amrit, but still that Indian taste & spicy-ness was missing. Then finally some recommended Delhi-6 and we went there yesterday to continue on our quest, and I'm glad to say that the place lived up to our expectations! We ordered Chicken Tikka Masala and requested to make it extra spicy - the dish was just like we have in India in terms of the aroma, flavour, and spices. The naan was also excellent and better than the naan at Amrit & Maharaja - we really enjoyed having dinner here & will visit soon to test the ultimate dish - Butter Chicken! As u can see, the salad was also great and really fresh. In the end, we were served some liquid in small 2cl glasses which seemed like golgappa water, and it was a mix of sweet & tangy, sort of closure to the meal (it was tasty). Overall would recommend this place if you are looking for authentic Indian food.

And four days in Berlin, scouring the city for a restaurant where we'll find good service and good we stumbled upon this one. The service here was by far the best I've seen in Berlin and the waiters were so welcoming and friendly. There was always someone around to check if everything is ok despite the crowd and how busy it was getting by the moment. We were treated with papodoms and chutneys as soon as we sat. We then ordered the burasi kebab for starters and veg Thali, chicken korma and garlic naan for main dish. Loved everything overall and couldn't stop eating even though we were full. The naans had the softest texture and the dal was exceptionally good that I had to keep myself from licking the bowl. The prices are slightly on the higher end but the portions are huge. Would be wonderful if they could consider giving a naan/rice along with the dish and reduce the quantity of the dish a bit. :) To finish off they gave us mango shots on the house which was just what we needed before we hit the streets to enjoy the night life. 💯

Ok, where to begin… I really wanted to like this place. But I was really shocked to find a hair and then a piece of plastic in my veg curry (ordered the Veg Thali (in of itself is very underwhelming). One of the curries was meant to be some tomato based curry, and unfortunately it came out to be very watery…. The service is really awesome though, they took action by replacing the veg thali and giving me a complimentary mango lassi. Yet still, it’s unacceptable to charge such high prices for the quality of what you serve. I feel like this place would do better if they focused on quality over quantity. Lastly, one piece of advice to management- if you’re going to serve a dish right. Do it well the first time. as you can see in the before + after photos of my meal, the presentation of food doesn’t match the second Thali that came out 😔 This doesn’t leave your customers happy knowing you garnish it because you messed up. The first dish you put out should always be the one you’re most proud of. People are not just coming to a restaurant to eat. It’s a multi faceted experience. One which of Delhi 6 has sadly missed the mark.

After reading all the reviews I was pretty convinced that this is the best Indian restaurant every existed in Berlin but I was expecting too much. We first ordered chicken tikka and lassi in starter which was extremely sugary and had no taste except sugar. Chicken tikka was so far off from the authentic food were used to have that we were shocked. Even making this home is extremely easy and you can’t mess the basic stuff. After starter it took them total 38 mins to serve us our main course which kept disappointing us. Butter chicken had no butter and the chicken was just not made in a tandoor which is traditional way of cooking butter chicken but it was more of a tomato gravy with some chicken. We ended up spending €85 for 3 person and we felt like that our money was stolen from us. This place is selling German food disguised as Indian food. Please don’t fall for fake reviews and don’t try this restaurant

My mango lasi was very tasty. This place offers rice separately from the sauces for some reason. This makes main dishes pricey (around 17 euros). I didn't like that. They waitress suggested me the menu which had a lot of different meats and sauces with rice included. The rice was plain and there was a small portion of it. The type of fish isn't a good combination in my opinion. The salad and bread was also quite plain. I think I would have liked a batura bread option in the menu. The atmosphere and decoration is one of the best I have seen in Berlin! When I visited there was loud Indian music playing. I would prefer more relaxing Indian instruments to enjoy my dinner. You can pay by card in this restaurant which I find great. There is no wifi unfortunately. Overall it's an ok restaurant but considering how greatly rated it is, I was expecting something more.

I was visiting for Berlin for the weekend and I was hungry so I looked up places for dinner and stumbled across this one. This place was incredible... They seated me quickly in a nice table in the corner and the servers were lovely. I did not order a cocktail but I was impressed by their selection of both classic and original cocktails that all looked super good. I am from the US so I usually order very basic Indian food like chicken tikka masala or butter chicken but I decided to switch things up. I got a variety plate with two meat dishes and one veggie dish plus rice, naan, salad, and mango chutney. I did not know what exactly I was eating but IT WAS SO GOOD! I'm going to be thinking about the mango chutney for a long time it was literally phenomenal. If you are looking for a place to knock your socks off, you've definitely come to the right place.
