It is a nice pub, with nice atmosphere, specially for karaoke night. However, you will struggle to participate in the karaoke unless you are danish. I have been here several times, and this has been my impression, but the las time really kicked it out of the stadium.

We enqueued some songs for the karaoke (nothing exotic, toto, queen, and others) and they were instantly rejected. They told me they got rejcted because we were including more than our name in the request (name and gang). I pointed out to the guy that there were a few people who already sang with names ending with similar things: name and co. . He then proceed to edit their names, while keeping them on the queue. Also, only one of our requests had this format. The others only had my first name: "Jose".

So long story short: if your name doesn't sound English/danish, they will just assume it is made up, and will boot you off the list. I guess alternatively you could use a fake name, or you could avoid this place altogether. I think I will be opting for the latter.

On previous occasions I learned that you would have to wait sometimes more than an hour to sing anything that is not in danish or English. The previous time I tried, I had to go to the guy to ask wtf happened to my request, after waiting for an hour and a half, and seeing the same people go up to the mic 2 or 3 times. He just said oh yeah right! And pushed me up the list to be next on queue. I suspect he was keeping me last, so I did not even try...

The Golden is a traditional small British style pub, no reservation needed for any sporting events, its always first come first served. So come early and drink a few pints thats how to secure your spot for Football, Its a sportsbar in the weekdays a game darts is a favourite, the pub have housedarts, but you can bring your own set and play on the 2 boards in the back of the pub, but remember to buy drinks, thats how they survive, Weekends from August to May is filled with premier league football the biggest group of supporters support Arsenal , but all teams fans are welcome. Thursday-Saturday at 22.00 there is karaoke with over 40000 songs its always possible to find your favourite song to perform in front of the friends. And finally Friday and Sunday at 20.00 the pub quiz is on the easier one on Friday and the hard one on Sunday, prices for the 3 best teams. There is no kitchen at the pub, however you can bring in your own food, which is brilliant. The selection of beer is okay 12 different beers on tap and a selection of bottle beer and ciders as well , prices are fair , a pint of Carlsberg is 40 kroner all day all night if you invest in a membership goldcard for the Sum of 200 kroner.

And people say you get the best pint of Guinness in Aarhus at the Golden lion I highly...

So, I was there last night. A group of girls looked like they were 15-16 years old and I told the bartender that they should probably ID them. He got mad at me and said that their ID had been checked.. lolz, there was no doorman or anything like that. Anywho, I said "fair enough" and said that I would call the police so they could check it out. The bartender got furious and said he would call a doorman to kick me out. I laughed at him at said fair enough. A couple of minutes later he checked their ID and they left. I stayed and sang kareoke with my gf - great fun.

So if you want a bar that loves underage girls, this is the bar for you. If you not, you should probably go...
