Well, it was not a pleasant experience at all. And, actually, first such a bad experience in my life, really. I walked an hour to this place, entered and saw it was practically empty. “What a luck!”, I thought, taking the small table in the corner. Then nothing happened: no waitress looked at my direction, no “hello” or menu handed for not less than 10 minutes. Ok, not a big deal, I stood up and headed right to the bar to ask for the menu myself. One of the waitresses immediately asked me if I had a reservation. I said no and she responded with a wide smile “than I cannot give you a menu, we don’t have place”. I was confused so much and said: “but all these seats are empty” (they really were! It was only one Danish company, who came later than me, except for me in the room), then she responded just “no”, still widely smiling. I was stunned, really. No hello, no sorry, no precaution when I just entered that all the seats are “taken” (by ghosts apparently), nothing. Just the whole demonstration that you are not welcomed here starting from ignoring your presence and ending with this dialogue. Really, such an unpleasant nasty experience that I cannot even imagine in my or any other country I’ve been in. Even that smile and look she gave me, seeing that I’m confused, felt so nasty itself. And seems like all the comments about the “Danish guests only” policy are true. Strange to experience such an intolerance out of nothing in one of the most tolerant and all-accepting country (and I’m not talking about the fact that I couldn’t get a table, the whole problem was not in this as you...

Read moreUnfortunately I cannot give this zero stars. What started off as a great dining experience turned into a nightmare. The restaurant took an hour to serve our main course, which we had to remind them. No reason was forthcoming, whilst we observed others being served. My guess is that they forgot, which happens and I wouldn’t have a problem with that, but - we without apology or explanation that this has indeed happened. When the food did come, they confused the order with another diner, again nothing said. Again that happens. What really stands out is how lovely the Danish are, and our neighbors on the next door table commented about our situation, saying that this was unacceptable and that we should ask for a discount. They even went to the waiter at the bar and told him so, which it looked like he did but then reversed. We were lied to about the time that we waited, lied to that they couldn’t provide the discount that our neighbors insisted on and then made to feel small. Sad...
