Let's start this preface by saying I am Italian. If you want Italian food, go somewhere else - baffled by the pasta choice, they literally serve you overcooked, plain basic pasta you can buy yourself at 12 kr at supermarco. The truffle pasta has a non existing name ("girolle" - it's not a thing. Google it). Also, has no truffle. Alas, the mushrooms are burnt to a crisp but if I wanted to have crisps, I'd have gone to McDonald's down the road. 180 kr for that pasta that probably costed to the kitchen 20 kr to half ass do, is an abomination.
My colleague ordered linguine ("linguini" in the full of spelling errors menu they give you), they were so drenched in water I thought they brought him a scoop of seawater directly. Full of sand, he didn't even manage to finish them.
They are so not Italian they even misspell the joke in the toilet lol
They charge you 25 kr for sparkling water they don't serve you
Bring your money elsewhere, this is...
Read moreBased on recommendations from our hotel, we went to Tonyâs with our 10 year old difficult eater. From the moment we entered, everything was a super experience. The welcome was cordial, and we were shown a table right away even though it was a busy night. Without a blink, the staff accepted the request for plain spaghetti (we had to order two because the kid liked them so much). For us, we went with the 10 plates. They were even able to accommodate allergy specific requests. We had a lemonade and a beer, respectively, and table water. We were always served promptly but not in a hurry. Every single plate was wonderful, and the 10 dishes were more than enough - we were not able to finish it all! Highlights were the arancini, the tomato & straciatella, the peppers, and the dessert ice cream. The staff was so nice to us. We had a lovely dinner and a wonderful...
Read moreWe came at Tonys on a Saturday for dinner. The atmosphere is very nice, and the place looks super organised and clean.
Coming to the menu, the alla carte options are few. We went for two appetizers (foccaccia and polpette al sugo), and as main dish we got the pasta with pesto and pistachio.
The food was good with good quantities. Prices a bit high.
Nevertheless, it took 1 hour and 25 minutes from the moment we ordered until the main dish was served. We were waiting around 50 minutes without food in front of us. We didn't hear why that happened, neither we received complimentary drink as it would be expected from a restaurant at that price range for an apology for the huge delay.
I don't think I will be returning, neither it is suggested to visit if you are looking for...
