Its my first time ever giving a restaurant one star. I am running 6 restaurants by myself and I do understand that it is hard to run a good restaurant. First of all the restaurant looks cozy and it has great potential to get up to 3-5 stars if the effort from the restaurant manager will come. The service was the worst I ever experienced: The greeting was awful (arrogance mixed with bad mood). Asking my friend what he wants to eat & goes away to chat with another worker due my friend was saying what he wants to eat then she come back and says: What?. Then after he wanted to order truffle fries as an appetizer her answer was: No dont take this - this you can get anywhere get this or this. So she wanted to decide what we have to eat? She could have started with: I would suggest but no education at all. She took after all cards away without even asking if we want to drink wine which we wanted. Few minutes later I wanted to know her backround as every culture is different to understand why she is behaving like that as danish people are the most friendliest ever so I asked her and she said polnish and I said: ok this explains it all. So I didnt stood up and went out of the restaurant because of her behaviour as I do understand cultures. Few minutes later the manager came to me after she complained to her collegue pointing at me and being angry if I have a problem that his workers are from another country. I explained him everything and then he gave us a very good service. The food wasnt good besides the truffle fries. I do know how wagyu tenderloin taste and Im sure this wasnt wagyu (my friends said the same) but im not here to spread fake news maybe it was wagyu but very bad quality. The calamari tasted like they bought it from the street market. The price is for this quality of food and service not good at all. No suggestions...
Read moreNot recommended at all & such a waste of money. I gave 1 star because at least the service was great and the wine was drinkable. Overall so overpriced too. Also other tables who ordered the same course as we do didn’t seem so happy…. We ordered the chef’s 10 menus with a bit high expectations because the price was quite expensive even we think about the general price in Cph. So, for the 4 starters, the combination was pretty bad. Was such a « micro-size »oyster that i’ve ever had in my life. Never knew that we can eat this size of oysters… weird taste cold green soup & boring trufflely tartare… The worst thing was the 2nd dish. Such a bad taste!! Meat was cold & no taste, fishy & weirdly marinated fish eggs & raw champignons…How could you put these as a signature menu?? The sauce was ok but wasn’t enough to cover the non-taste like all things.. Didn’t expect a steak for the main dish as we had 2 times heavy meat menus already.. It was eatable steak with some veggies but no character at all. The tomatoes with basil tasted really bad. Maybe would better to peel of them. Never had this bad meat-meat-meat course in fancy-styled restaurant. Need to be improved absolutely… At least the desert was eatable but it was bit weird combo with icecream & not cold strawberry juice. When the server poured the juice, the ice-cream melted so quickly which means, we can’t enjoy the ice...
Read moreKeen to experience authentic Danish cuisine, I ordered the only vegetarian open sandwich on the menu. What arrived looked like a garnish that had lost its way, rather than an actual meal. I almost needed a magnifying glass to locate the food on the plate.
Credit where it’s due: the food did arrive quickly, although I imagine preparing something intended to feed a single ant doesn’t exactly strain the kitchen.
As if the miniscule portion size and disproportionately gigantic price weren’t insulting enough, I was also hit with a mystery fee just for the privilege of paying. This was different to a currency conversion charge, and was apparently to “allow the banks to talk to each other.” I’ve travelled a lot, and I’ve never encountered anything like that before. It felt like a scam.
This was a real low point of my holiday, and I was less mortified when my wallet was stolen the week before. If, for some unfathomable reason, you still decide to eat here, make sure you order extra chips. My recommendation would be to sit outside. About 50 feet outside. At a different restaurant. On the other side...
