Hatoba sushi bar is my new happy place! This stylish spot serves up some of the freshest, most delicious sushi I've ever had the pleasure of devouring. From classic maki rolls to innovative creations, the menu is a sushi lover's dream come true.
The vibe is chic and modern, with a lively atmosphere that's perfect for a night out with friends or a date. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable, happy to guide you through the menu and offer pairing suggestions from their extensive sake list.
But let's get to the good stuff – the sushi! Oh. My. Gosh. The fish is impossibly fresh, the rice is perfectly cooked, and the flavors are expertly balanced. I've tried everything from spicy tuna to uni and foie gras, and each piece is a masterclass in texture and taste.
If you're a sushi fanatic like me, or just looking for a new adventure, Hatoba is a must-visit. Trust me, you won't be...

Every cloud has a silver lining though because I have decided to keep the salmon as a pet. I call him Sash-sammy. His bucket fits by the foot of my bed so I see him first thing in the morning and last thing at night which is very comforting...

Having been fortunate to visit authentic Japanese restaurants around the world from Hokkaido to New York City, it's worth noting that this restaurant is not an authentic Japanese restaurant.
A photo of the sashimi platter is attached, Never in my life have I been served imitation crab meat as a main accompaniment on a sashimi platter. The restaurant even decided to cut the imitation crab meat into pieces and put it inside a sake cup. Additionally, certain slices of the sashimi pieces did not taste fresh.
Overall, I would not recommend this "Japanese" restaurant to anyone. There are much better choices elsewhere...
