Eating here once we didn’t dare to try smørrebrød elsewhere and had to come back again.
We stayed in the city for a few days and came across this place accidentally. Quick research on Google showed a great rating (I think I have not seen small places with the 4.9 rating before (the end of April)) so we stopped for lunch. I would say this is the best traditional lunch in Copenhagen we had! It’s super tasty, and we felt full and happy leaving this place! The owners are cooking and serving guests, the atmosphere seemed really cosy. If you seat at the window table indoors you can find a laminated newspaper/magazine page with the short history of this family place. The food is being prepared all the time because locals usually come to take away sandwiches. The place tend to be a bit overcrowded so this is something to...
Read moreCold weather in Copenhagen. Every single squarecentimetre was used by guests. So we were put on the waiting list and one of the guys told us we can stay inside because my daughter was freeting. Service perfect!
We had one smørrebrød with eggs and shrimps and one with roastbeef. Both were mouthwatering and and over the top especially the dressings on both of them. Tiny menu with high quality stuff - that‘s what I absolutely adore!
Both guys were very caring, we had a small chat and were offered a dessert which was „next level“. It‘s called „Rødgrød med fløde“. Basically it‘s pasteurised stawberries and you get a small tin with cream with it you can pour in and mix it yourself. Absolute recommendation! Glad I had the chance to try it.
Guys it was a pleasure to eat at your place!...

Yet, the price is triple what I had paid yesterday at two different locations in the centre which were just as good. A normal price for this fast food is max 30-40 Kr. I don't get it why here is triple... additionally the tap water costs about 5 Euro per person. If you are group of 4 you will pay 20 euros for tap water. This is unacceptable. If you ask a Danish person if they will ever pay 95 or for a product that they normally pay 30 kr they will for sure say, NO, and under no circumstance...
