Around 2:30pm on August 10th, me and my two asian parents planned to have lunch here.
We entered the restaurant and waited for the waiter at the front desk. There was no one waiting at the moment, but then two European men came in and lined up behind us. After waiting for a while and many guests had left, a waitress came over. We politely signaled to her that there were three of us, but she replied straight away, "No, they came first." She just glanced at us and just spoke directly to the two European men. Then two European men also said that we came first. The waitress didn't say anything, and took the two European men to their seats. They also didn't have reservations. After the waitress took the two European men to their seats and she didn't come out for a while. The waitress seemed to be talking to other staff, but I don't want to speculate on anything. Her actions made us feel like she didn't want to serve us.
I wonder, how did the waitress know we weren't first when we were right at the front of the line? Also, the waitress didn't apologize for the misunderstanding. We were very quiet while waiting, we didn't walk around or even talk. We were really disappointed, this was the only sad thing about our family trip to Europe.
I don't know if it's a racist situation, but it's made me feel bad...
Read moreWe got the pork tenderloin and the corned brisket of beef. The pork tenderloin was tasty enough but it was incredibly dry. The corned brisket of beef came out cold and only tasted like horseradish. The only indication that it would come cold is that it isn't labeled "warm" on the menu. Maybe we would've known this if we were Danish, but it was a very unpleasant surprise.
Also, the portions were tiny and we were both still hungry after having spent nearly 300 dkk on lunch. This is pretty consistent with my experience of eating at restaurants in Copenhagen. Can I leave a negative review for the entire city? I've had a terrible week of eating food here and I'm PISSED at how expensive, small portions, and underwhelming...
Read moreI’m not sure how this restaurant won an award. The place is unwelcoming and the food does not make up for it. They didn’t even get fish and chips right!! You would expect the fish to be crispy on the outside right? Well it was soft and the fish inside was chewy. The stregt flæsk on the other hand was so crispy it was inedible. Some parts were so fried they were burnt. Potatoes had 0 flavor. The server had a condescending tone whenever we walked to her and we only spoke to her to put in our order and ask for the bill. Also keep in mind there is automatic 25% VAT. Save your money and go...
