Kung Fu Izakaya — Restaurant in Copenhagen Municipality

Food, service, atmosphere, waiting times and tempo of our dinner were perfect. We opted for the six course meal, chef's choice, and we found it to be a very well thought sampling of the menu, perfectly balanced in flavours, portion sizes, textures and variety. The service was very attentive but not overzealous or intruding, friendly and professional at the same time, accommodating and quick on their feet. The restaurant also has something like less than ten tables, with the possibility of having larger groups of 8,.or more, but the atmosphere remained cozy amd intimate for the whole evening, and at no point we had issues of noise or overcrowding from the large groups. Couldn't put my finger on a favourite dish because all of them were an interesting and well delivered dig into the kitchen's concept, and all our dishes were presented in a refined fashion, without being too pretentious, really making the dishes speak for themselves. We got the "3 dishes" menu ( 2 starters 1 main) which was also recommended as you could get more & share.

Starters (see photos): Crispy mix - good -Asian tuna - delicious and refreshing Dumplings mix (×2) - personal favourite

Mains: BAO with duck - I especially loved the bun very silky smooth, very soft inside. Sliders - pulled pork is not my personal preference in general, but my bf liked it - especially the sauce

Rhubarbra Streisand - tbh the name made me laugh so much I had to try it. Yuzu Colada - refreshing Salted Caramel Espresso Martini - classic delish (super flavoured, you might want the Colada aside)

We were eating for two and have taken a table outside. We wanted to order inside, but the waiter told us how to order outside and use the app for that, in which you also have to pay right away! We ordered nuts - and got edamame because there were no nuts. They could have just told us that inside. We got a too small main course and as dessert came not the ordered pistachio cake, but something else white. We asked the waiter and he said that the pistachio cake has not been on sale for a year. (Why is it still on the menu card?) Anyway, we had to pay for it when we ordered it. The food was a big disappointment and the waiter offered us 20% discount if we write the boss.
