Newly opened within the last four months and it was decent. The location is nice, and the interior is really nice and cozy. They serve a small menu with a select few items, and the prices are really really fair.
I didn’t think the food was amazing however. We had the chicken Choila to share and that was very spicy, but not too much. The problem was that it was just underwhelming. The chicken wasn’t that juicy and the marinade didn’t fit that well. It basically tasted like something you could make at home.
For the main course I tried their jhol momo. Not as spicy as I would’ve liked, and it was frankly a bit boring too. The dumplings were okay, they were just dumplings, but the soup where I expected a flavor explosion was also quite lackluster. I mean it’s difficult to complain considering price, but I honestly expected a lot more considering the small focused menu and also the interior, I really thought I was in for a treat but it was quite mediocre.
The service was nice however. Server was cool, and the attention was good too. I left a bit disappointed but since I didn’t pay as much as other places within the same category, I will give it 4 stars.
They don’t serve any alcohol either, also something to...
Read moreI had high hopes for Lamfu, given its reputation, but my experience was honestly disappointing. The service was painfully slow from the moment we arrived. Despite the restaurant not being particularly busy, it took nearly 20 minutes for anyone to acknowledge our presence and even longer to take our order. When the food finally arrived, it was cold and lacked flavor. For a place that claims to specialize in Asian cuisine, the dishes felt uninspired and bland—nothing like what I was expecting. The dumplings were soggy, and the noodles were overcooked. Even worse, the portion sizes were ridiculously small for the price. I left hungry and irritated. As for the ambiance, it's hard to enjoy a meal when the noise level is unbearable, and the tables are cramped. It felt more like a cafeteria than a restaurant. The staff, while polite, didn’t seem well-trained or particularly attentive, which made the overall experience feel more like an afterthought. Honestly, I won't be coming back and can’t recommend this place to anyone. With so many fantastic dining options in Copenhagen, Lamfu didn’t even come close to living...
Read moreThe food had a “homey feel” to it and I quite enjoyed that. We were originally not planning on eating much but ended up ordering another plate of momo, which is a testament to the great taste of the food. I would probably recommend that the owner proposes additional plates with more momos with a discounted price, as 10 can be finished quite rapidly. We got to try the chef’s dessert special which was also tasty: different levels of texture, not too sweet, and whose preparation process is quite particular. The caring customer service as well as the coziness of the interior design tied the whole experience together, and made it a beautiful dinner. I would definitely go back and...
