Today we had dinner at Nepali Bhancha, a place recommended by a Nepali friend, and what a great recommendation it was! The restaurant is located just 2 minutes from Ørstedsparken and around 10 minutes walking from both Nørreport and Vesterport stations.
As the name suggests, this is a Nepali food restaurant, and from the moment we arrived, it felt like a truly local experience. Above all, what stood out was the incredible kindness and warmth of the staff. We were served by brother and sister, Human and Pooja, whose hospitality was exceptional, professional and very friendly. We really appreciated the short conversation we had.
Although the restaurant was booked for a private event and there was no space inside, they kindly offered us a table outside on the terrace. Since the weather was nice, we gladly stayed.
They started us off, as a kind gesture from the house, with papad and mango chutney, which was absolutely delicious. A perfect appetizer to set the tone.
Then came the Mo:Mos (Nepali dumplings) filled with vegetables and chicken, served with a tasty dipping sauce. Fresh, flavorful, and satisfying.
Finally, we had the main course: the Thakali set, a traditional Nepali platter with a bit of everything. Every bite was packed with flavor, and one of the best parts, they kept refilling the rice as soon as we finished it! We left fully satisfied (and very full).

Read moreAmong very less Nepalese place in Copenhagen, this is the best one i have ever tried. You get to experience authentic nepali dinner plate originally called thakali khana, mentioned as thali in Menu. With different Nepali side dish cuisines. Along with this they also have another famous Nepali lunch dish MOMO yumm, but they could do better with this dish. But over all the food they have are awesome, definately should try to experience Nepali cuisine.
We tried momos and chicken thali set.
I have been there many time, but last time we were there i saw a new face(young boy )serving us food, kudos to your service. Very positive face.
Food: Super ✅️, remember momos Service: super ✅️ Ambience: Good, could be better.
Next visit: Was there for Nepalese lunch, not typically main food. Tried, Jhol momo and steam momo, still the best. Chicken sekuwa: they could do something good to add smokey flavors. Was basic. Panipuri was...
Read moreGreat food, specially the roti or traditional chapattis of Punjab (Pakistan & India), tomato sauce traditionally Pakistani Punjab must taste it, good food options, neat and tidy, polite waitress. Reasonable prices for Copenhagen but again it is located in area where most people wouldn't visit, but they will really miss a great eatery which offers great food. Must try daal tardka, lamb curry and butter chicken. One downside is that there is no complimentary roti or rice with main course, you have to order them separately. On comparison the food was high class, as I have previous experience of wasting at Nepali restaurant in Helsinki, Tampere, Stockholm. On scale I put it at 9 out of ten. Taste wise it was much better than other Scandinavian...
