“It feels like an oasis in the middle of the city” were the words spoken by the server. We couldn’t agree more. The atmosphere was cozy in the middle of the vegetation with a glimpse of the lake. Food was great. Simple with great quality ingredients for a good price compared to similar locations. We had a croque croissant, a homemade bun with butter and cheese and the kanelsnegl (a cinnamon roll). The cinnamon roll was one of the greatest we ever had. Coffee was also very good, with a well prepared cappuccino served at the correct temperature just like the ones from the best Italian cafes. Staff were amazing. Friendly and welcoming.

I've walked by Flindt & Ørsted countless times while living in Copenhagen and finally stopped in. The service was a bit underwhelming, but I’d still return just for the atmosphere — it’s absolutely lovely, especially on a sunny day. I had a latte and a bun with butter and cheese, which was decent, though not a standout in the city. Still, it was a charming spot to sit outside and watch families and dog walkers pass by. Worth it for the vibe alone.

Flindt & Ørsted is the second cafe I've visited in Copenhagen that's located inside a garden or park. I wonder if this is a common trend in Copenhagen. If it is, then it's a fantastic idea! You can enjoy a coffee and a snack without leaving the park. I had a filter coffee and a Goat Toast, both of which were fantastic! They offer some really nice outdoor seating. I would highly recommend it even to those who aren’t visiting Ørstedsparken.

Flindt & Ørsted are the new owners per 2021. They inherited the reviews of the former owners, so don't be fooled by the old reviews! The present staff is downright rude. At present there is almost nothing to eat for vegetarians and zero for vegans. I tried to talk with the cook to find something edible, but no, it was hopeless. I have no problem with that, hey, I'll just find another place to eat. As soon as I stepped away, the male staff and a customer began to criticize and humiliate me for being vegetarian. Thanks guys, it's payback time. 😃 Here's one star from me. Update: After a whole year the owner finally wrote a response (that he later deleted) to make the point that he changed the café's name. Fine, but that's not the issue. The issue is that the owner was rude then and he's just as rude now answering that he's sorry he couldn't "reorganize the menu" for me. Buddy, keep it up. Insult...

Would give zero stars if I could. HORRIBLE hygiene standards. Blatant violation of health codes. The employee making sandwiches would blow his nose and then wipe his nose, NOT wash his hands after doing so, and then continue on making other people's food. Absolutely disgusting. 🤢 🤮

I could not believe my eyes. I watched him do it at least 10 times within an hour of being there. I watched him then use his dirty unwashed hands to grab lettuce, bread, cheese, pickles, all while preparing food to be served to customers.

He was also eating while making customers orders, which is a huge no no in the restaurant industry. You just don't do that. You eat on your break, not while you're preparing customer orders.

Have proof of it actually happening too.

You must always wash your hands:

After coughing, sneezing, or...
