Visited in March 2025. We got the veg combination plate, shikla, zigni, and kitcha fitfit. The food was generally tasty, and the zigni was particularly good. The shikla was quite dry and cold, which was disappointing, but its taste was good, spiced and smokey. We also got some juices, which were freshly made. The venue and overall atmosphere were quite disappointing for me. The place used to be a Greek restaurant and it is still decorated as such. We visited on a Monday, when the place was rather empty, and I guess we were served by the owner. He was nice, but didn't speak English, and everything took longer than expected. Some background music was playing from a corner, but the kitchen was very loud, especially when making our juices. This didn't make for a pleasant dinner environment. Overall, I'm not likely to come back here or to recommend the place - which is a bit sad, given the fact that the food was...
Read moreI have been to several Ethiopian and Eritrean restaurants, and this is by far the worst (don’t go). The food does not represent Ethiopian or Eritrean cuisine. The portions are so small that, after spending 200 DKK on dinner, I had to go to another restaurant to have a proper meal. I don’t think that’s fair. The food doesn’t test good and it is not also how it is made in Ethiopia or Eritrea. The interior looks okay, and the staff are very polite. The toilets are really dirty and in a bad state. The other scary part is, the kitchen is just next to this dirty toilet. I believe that if they improve both the quality, hygiene and quantity of the food, it could become a good place. However, I wouldn’t recommend it...
Read moreThe food is absolutely amazing, and even though the waiter spoke little English, we had no trouble ordering. The restaurant was empty when we came in, but do not hesitate to ask for a table because the food will make up for it.
We had the vegetable platter for two, and couldn't finish it. All parts are made with love, even the simple cabbage had a nice sour dressing.
The decor seems dated and from the previous restaurant (Greek plates on the wall), but some posters and paintings make up for it. And we had a window side table, overlooking the street.
All in all I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you love a dining experience that isn't poke bowl or...
