Me and my wife Wendy visited the Globe twice during our recent stay in Copenhagen (30th Sept - 4th Oct 2022). We went to watch Premier League Football matches and really enjoyed both visits. The pub is quite large and divided into several of small areas on 2 floors. There are lots of good quality screens to watch the matches. The Globe website shows details of what sports are shown each day. It looks like they show a lot of Premier League matches. Different matches/sports can be shown at the same time. The staff are really friendly and welcoming. There is a lively and friendly atmosphere in the pub. Get there early for seats with the best viewing positions if you want to watch the football. The pub was busy but efficiently run. No problem getting extra drinks as the staff regularly come round to take orders and bring the drinks and card payment machine to your table. A large selection of drinks are available. Prices are typical for Copenhagen about £8 for a pint of beer or cider. They do food again at typical Copenhagen prices. Fish and Chips at £20...
Read moreAbout as good as it gets as for an Irish pub in central Copenhagen. Great Guiness, great chips. Just stay away from the burger.
EDIT: Hello Brian. My experience with the burger was quite negative. I received an untoasted bun with no condiments, and a beef patty on top. There was ketchup available at the table, which I added. We agreed the chef must have just gotten out of bed or something. The chips were very greasy as well, like they were fried in cold oil (?), and made for an uncomfortable experience. I want to add that I love coming to The Globe. I eat here often, spend many evenings here. But I've never gotten the burger since. The lady who serviced us was very nice and service was pleasant. But clearly something went wrong in...
Read moreI had a reservation at this restaurant and was extremely disappointed to be turned away simply because we had our infant with us. Despite having booked in advance, the staff informed us at the door that children, even infants, are not allowed. There was no prior warning or mention of this policy during the reservation process.
We understand that some establishments may have certain rules, but the lack of transparency and flexibility was frustrating and frankly disrespectful. Turning away a family with a baby—without offering any alternative or showing any understanding—is not how a quality restaurant should treat its guests.
If you’re planning to dine here, be aware: this place is not family-friendly, and you may want to look elsewhere if you’re coming with children. La Very...
